...I can say I am rather hooked on this case modding thing and this forum! :D

I am personally blaming each and every one of the members here for my lighter wallet and strange addiction to making the ordinary great.

I mean, look at the mess my (non modded) PC was when I first joined!

http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/2997/2002hs0.jpg

Geez! Look at it! Slow old processor, wires everywhere, aging video card, only one monitor.
Not even a window in the side, nor painted insides!

So this is just a thank you to all that have inspired me to do better and make computing even more fun.

All I can say is onwards and upwards!

Now that the hazing is over, get back to modding sumthin! Maybe if I ban you s'more you'll have more free time for the project? :p

Dude, after joining TBCS I felt compelled to manage every single wire inside every single computer I could. In my P4 machine (that I hardly use), it has ribbon IDE cables, but you can't see 'em. ;)

Yeah. Curse you modders and your talent, inspiring me and causing shock and awe, not to mention making what I once thought was cool slip in to the mundane.

I have free time coming up. The next couple of days will be spent putting my computer room back together when not at work, or wasting time here, then I have 5 days off, so my plan is to get modding!
My little parts pile is growing, so I have stuff I can do.
Too many ideas floating around in my head.

I had about $250 when I joined, and I was thinking about buying a Wii, but instead made my rig into a dual-core gaming PC. This place rocks!

I agree. This is a very cool place. I'm very impressed with the fact that unlike other boards, it takes little to no administration to keep things civilized. I'm also looking around at everything thinking of ways to mod it to make it better. Curse you all!!! lol

aww, I love you guys. Do I feel a group hug coming on?

*hugs*

Ok, Ok, who grabbed my ass?

Well I wish I could say that since joining here I have spent thousand on my gaming PC, but seriously its almost the same. HOWEVER, I'm probably about $1100 in the hole for my workshop:p. 12 inch Drill Press, 18 inch Scroll Saw, Router table, belt sander, dremel, heat gun, 3 work benches, and more. I don't have the time or money to mod everything I own, but I do like knowing how to do stuff so I can share my knowledge with others on here and help them with their mods, after all, isn't that what community is all about:).

I think I make two short planks look like a super computer.
I only just realised today that TBCS logo is a computer case....
I was wondering why this place had a "H" for the logo, then finally I saw what it really was...

Top five list of reasons I'm here:

1- Using power tools.
2- Cuts, scrapes, bruises, thermal-paste-in-your-eye, etc. :hurt:
3- Putting your ideas out for the world to see.
4- Supports impulse buying :p.
5- Meeting new people with views of their own and expressing their ideas through making something creative and functional.

I love you guys :) .

Thermal paste in your eye? How the crap did you manage that?

Well, you guys are (part of) the reason I have a functional PC, and a good one at that... and no matter how "fruity" this thread is starting to sound, I kinda sorta "love" you guys too, it's like, a place where I finally fit in!

It has rolled over to the 26th here in Australia.
That means I am now celebrating my 6 month anniversary on the forums.
At 6 months I'm at over 1300 post, 7 green rep boxes, one banning and also been made a mod.

I have learned so much here and I'm still learning.

I also can't just have a standard computer case any more. I have to mod it, tidy up wiring, paint, add fans and generally waste time here.

well. honestly i just like seeing what people do to their pc. its a new form of creativity that has not been squeezed lifeless by normal "artistic scocity" its totaly free. do whatever you want. just make something you like. but to me the absolute beauty of this whole forum is that everyone is civil.. nobody really flames people and everyone here realizes that they were a noobie at one point so they dont give the new guys a rough time just cause they asked a question that seems beneith a modder. i have been here a year and i just hope that with the 2 mods i did, i have learned enough that my suggestions and answers can help someone i dont care how much i posted, just as long as i entertained someone or helped someone out.

While I'm a guest here I try to do a few things:
-Give advice.
-Crack jokes that usually aren't funny (I try).
-Voice my opinion.
-Have interesting discussions.
-Get advice.
-Etc. etc.

OMFG, I was always wondering what the hell that was! I feel so dumb right now. :? :(

Neeways, I love this forum and I've gotten a lot of ideas, bad habits, good habits, inspiration and attention from everyone here. Though I've been really slow in doing my case mod, it will come and you will be blown away! lol.

Luckily I've never been banned, and I've gotten another green box. Two is good enough, I am "Friendly and Helpful" so it fits...

You guys are great! TBCS gets an A+

For me, it was a very special blend of the Screensavers and this Forum. Before, I was content with one computer that functioned. Then I saw the Matrix mod on the Screensavers with a reminder to check out thebestcasescenario.com

Now my "functioning" computer setup includes 3 screens, a kvm switch and seven computers.

My 3 month TBCS anniversary was 2 days ago :) I know I haven't really posted much, or modded anything completely, but this is the most I've ever posted and the longest I've stayed on one forum.

What do I have to show for it? A new computer case with pink lighting, and a heap of pulled apart cases, spraypaint, auto body filler and similar modding supplies taking over the laundry, so my mum is finding it difficult to do the washing now.

Your contribution is well appreciated Elenril. Your work is totally different from what we're used to; it's really refreshing. For my part, it gave me alot of ideas to work on as soon as I have time.
