So last night I went to a RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS CONCERT!!!!!!
Holy crap that was crazy. we were exactly 1/2 hour late, so we missed the opening act, which i wasn't too thrilled about anyway. Gnarls Barkley Who? Chili Peppers owned so much i didn't even care. The guys behind us were on acid or something :smoker:. That didn't matter at all, It was Great!

Now that i am done with a rant, whats the best concert you guys have ever gone to?

Saw David Bowie in concert. Expensive tickets, but great show.

Gotta love Bowie.

Bowie?? lol isn't he like a billion years old Dave? ha, I'm just messin wit ya. I've never been to one of his concerts so I have no say.

These are my favorite concerts that I have been to.

10 Years
FiveIronFrenzie
Creation Festival (now that one is a doozey!)
Festival Con Dios

I just missed Three Days Grace... That would of been the best of them all by far.

One of the old MSI shows in St. Louis.
Back before they got popular and well known. When they would still do stupid things for laughs.

Devo, at a small theater in San Diego. Best stage show I have ever seen. Great before and after concert show too. Later partied with them in Hawaii and they remembered us from the show (we sat front row).

U2, Live at Redrocks. (If you pause one of the videos form the concert you can see me and my friends about 10 rows back). it was rainy/foggy most the night and anyone who stayed for the full concert got free tickets a couple nights later to a show in Boulder, CO.

AC/DC, Angus Young is absolutely fantastic to watch. He never runs out of energy.

Yes, (90215 tour) at the Macky auditorium in Boulder, CO http://www.colorado.edu/Macky/ (same place U2 put on the free concert)

Pink Floyd, Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, Mile High Stadium, Denver CO.

OK, this will date me, but my first concert was.... Bad Company. My older sister snuck me in because I was too young to be there.

Ooh, let's see. First concert (and this will really date me) would be Camel (http://www.camelproductions.com/) at Preston Guild Hall. In about 1978.
Best concert(s) would have to be Alice Cooper. Twice. Or U2 at Milton Keynes Bowl (Unforgettable fire tour), also that year (83?) I saw them in Paris Bercy.

Worth a mention: Tangerine Dream

Biggest Disappointment: 10,000 Maniacs. The sound was Awful, that was at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh.

Most Fun: Aegis. Filipino rock band. Being the only white guy in the audience, I was hauled up on stage to dance with them. I can't dance... I can't find a decent pic of them so you'll have to make do with this (http://aegis.blog7.fc2.com/blog-category-4.html)

Gnarls Barkley Who?

Gnarls Barkley is pretty dang awesome.

The best concert I've ever been to has been Blue Man Group. Some people might say that they are more performance art, but it is still live music with a live band. The fact that they set up their music so artistically shouldn't make it a show instead of a concert. Yeah, Blue Man Group rules.

Nice ones: Siouxies and the Banshees

Dave Matthews Band is pretty good.

I'm not in Irvine, though. I'm north of San Fransisco in a noname town called Rohnert Park.

BTW: Prove you were there: What did Bruce Dickenson say that Iron Maiden might have to do if they came back to Irvine? How big was the crowd?

The only real concert i've been to was RadioHead. I wouldnt have gone to see it but i was working the ice cram cart for the first half of the show and had a crew pass so i stayed for the whole thing. Allright band, not a lot glimmer or performance though.

Radiohead is all for the music, posters (which they probably derive from drug-induced frenzies)

I have been listening to DMB all day, in my head of course.

i forgot some other concerts.

Mustard Plug
Mars Volta

:local:
The Skamakazees-hardcore Ska
Sorry About Your Couch-less hardcore/still Ska
Something Phonic-Regge+Funk=Awesome (actually quite good, to bad they broke up)
Infinity and one
Grey Leaf-friggin awesome

I want to see Blue Man Group really bad, but tickets are so expensive!
Maybe :santa: ?

Cliff Richard

Tough call--there's so many of em to choose from:

Van Hagar, August 1, 2004 in Denver
Sevendust/Monster Magnet/Megadeth in Billings MT in 98 or 99 (I left after Magnet though, can't stand Megadeth)
Chris LeDoux (RIP), Lewistown MT summer of 1993--he put on one helluva country show.
Smashing Pumpkins January of 1997 in Billings MT (10 years ago...yikes!)
BB King November 1995 in Phoenix AZ
Shinedown/Our Lady Peace/Seether/Three Doors Down in Great Falls MT in 2003
The list goes on and on...I could (and should sometime) make a list of the concerts I've seen.

Damn, I almost forgot to list TOOL! That show smoked. Ditto the Linkin Park/Mudvayne/Xzibit tour.

Incubus in Bozeman MT in 2002 or 03 was good too.

--Edit: The Rolling Stones in Missoula MT. At one point I was 100 feet from the band. I'm very glad that I got to see em before another one of em leaves this planet.

Bowie?? lol isn't he like a billion years old Dave?

A billion and one in March.

His recent work's still in the same 'experimental' vein as a lot of his older stuff, but on the Reality tour he played one his classics between every song from the Reality Album. Great audience, great performer, great entertainer. The man.

Most Fun: Aegis. Filipino rock band. Being the only white guy in the audience, I was hauled up on stage to dance with them. I can't dance... I can't find a decent pic of them so you'll have to make do with this

Hahaha! The tallest member of their band is 5'4! They're all freakin' tiny! :D (I laugh because i'm 6' and my girlfriend is 5'3)

I went to Warped Tour--I loved Car Underwater, Thursday, and Senses Fail...

Silverstein was kind of a bust.

I didn't like....I think their name was Aiden....or they were The Misfits....
Anyway, I didn't like it because they were creepin me a bit, and were cursing the Christian band Underoath......

yeah...

anything for shock value or a laugh.

I also saw Trans-Siberian Orchestra once--They rocked my socks off.

At the Boy Scout 50 year Jubilee in Omaha, NE in 2000, I saw a bunch of various artists, but only one performed like he was supposed to, and guess who it was? Weird Al! Talk about a show and a half. That was one fun concert...

I really want to see Primus live. I've been a fan for many years and I keep missing their tours.

I'd also like to see Clutch live from a few years ago, but that's not possible.

Primus is really nice in show, saw them twice, and they are very good

Metalica: they suck live, well I think they suck, the only time I saw them, they ended the show after 20 min...

jaxspades
03-06-2007, 12:08 AM
I'd say--go to TSO if you're ready to hear the Nativity story. Their concert is a big story around that and angels and, well, their own poetic license with the story--I thought it was great.
