(note: sorry for having 2 threads open in the same place..)
I was wondering is it possible to paint the motherboard? if so, what kind of paint should I use (I assume oil based...)
thanks

I've seen it done before with graphic cards, but it looks like crap. I asked this question awhile back too, I think the answer was either no or yes, but it would be more trouble than its worth.
Try googling "painting circuit boards" or something like that.

The only time i can see it being pretty cool, is if you use UV paint on the board, and some UV lighting and make your insides glow.

I would love to see those links to the graphics cards (if they still exist...)
my Idea (I won't say all of it) is basicly paint it black and then dry brush on some silver. it seems as though it hasn't been done often, so I know it'll be original. just hope it dosn't fry my mobo....

Sounds like it would overheat.

Here's one.. (http://www.overclock.net/case-mods-general-discussion/61582-spookys-uv-pen-mod.html)
and another.. (http://www.overclockers.com/tips1029/) which has a link to UV paint that goes on clear, and is only visible under UV light.. COOL.
Them UV mods are mega.
Right, wheres my markers........

Right, wheres my markers........I like that idea. That site suggests certain brands, but AIUI, any highlighter pen will react to UV light.
I saw in a stationary store recently, a 'secret' pen containing 'invisible ink' and a 'magic light' to bring out the secret message.
Basically, it was a colourless fluorescent pen with a UV LED flashlight built into the cap.
Could be a useful source of both.
