Do you have to go through some sort of service of some sort, or can you just slap (c) on there, and boom, nobody can steal it? I'd like to know... I haves a couple names that I use and would like to use in a book or something in the future that I would appreciate to not have stolen.
I believe a copyright is only for audio, video, or image creations. But I'm probably terribly wrong.

No, you have to go through a small certification process. Very short.

Is there any chance that you know more about it? Or would I have to use the info on wikipedia?
How far are you on the "road" to Eagle?

i think its like a patent thing where you have to pay to copyright stuff. not sure how you would make sure no one uses it though...

First off, the poor man's copyright will not stand up in a court of law.
http://www.copyright.gov/ is probably your best bet for more info.
Yes, it's going to cost money to copyright something. But if you own it, you've obviously got plans to make money off of it right?
It's been a while since I've dealt with having to do any copyrighting (I've got some poetry that I own the copyright to) but in a nutshell, it's paperwork, plain and simple. Really no harder than filing taxes.

Better start thinking about writing a book... we'll see how it comes out, when I get the time and will to dedicate to something like that... I have some ideas...
