I'd go with the dual BenQ's. But then again, I can't imagine using a computer WITHOUT dual monitors.

durrthock, i missed your post before that.
If your mostly doing gaming and movies on that screen id go with the samsung.
If your mostly doing anything else (video editing, Photoshop, sketchup, internet, etc.) than I'd recommend the dual benqs

No they can't i checked when i realised everything in the UK cost much more than in the US. Dell have some nice 20" ones for about £300.
Check out Scan (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Products.asp?CatID=27&Category=Monitors&ThumbNails=Yes&FilterKeywords=&FilterMinPrice=&FilterMaxPrice=&OrderBy=3) As they are based in the UK its easier, they offer great service and decent prices
Acer 24" (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-013-AC) just under £400, not bad.

Minty what I suggest you do is first sell that crt and then buy a 22" lcd then for dual monitor when you save some bucks buy a 19" monitor Ill post a pic of my setup.

From what i hear, the average US size is letter...A4 is a primarily British thing, as i understand it?

I thought you were right. Turns out that letter = 8.5" x 11" while A4 = 8.27" x 11.69". In the US most people refer to letter and legal (legal = 8.5 x 14"), While people involved in printing and production or drafting careers use the "official" paper designations (a4, a6, etc...).
But yeah, splitting hairs now...

I love labs. THE best all around dog. Here is a picture of my 3 (not all labs) although the Chocolate lab died a couple of years ago;

And in case you think that was staged, this pic was taken at a abalone dive a year after the chocolate lab passed;

EDIT: Sorry for getting off topic, couldn't resist a dog photo (my kids), and I will try not to wander so much in the future. "Hi my name is Terry and I am a chronic thread hijacker!"
