I guess you could say, that those "subtitles" are HARD-CODED into the movie. Meaning... there technically are no subtitles. Just the Movie.

If it's a dvd, then just turn off the subtitles using the subtitle button on the remote. (or, go into the language options from the menu, and set subtitles to none)

It's on my computer, sorry, I should of specified that. lol I never use my TV anymore.

I'll use any media player as long as it gets rid of subtitles.

How do you remove subtitles in movies? Can you? Pretty lame watching something IN english WITH english subtitles. Someone must of been asleep at the wheel that night...

I've got friends here in Puerto Rico that aren't that fluent in english...
So, many movies, they see them with the audio in english, and the subtitles also in english... I would imagine it helps them "learn" different aspects of the english language (pronounciation and usage).
