I am pretty new here and I thought I would share some preliminary ideas for the mod I will be starting relatively soon to get some feedback/comments/ideas.
First of all, let me explain the premise here. I tend to be a minimalist. I want a mod, I want it to look nice, but I dont want it to be too over the top. I'm not interested in LCD screens and fan controllers and all that fun stuff, thats my girlfriends thing :P. I want something clean, crisp, and simple. So sheck it out: this computer will have 1(ONE) DVD drive and 1(ONE) HDD. That's it. Just 1. Theme as of right now is black and red. here is a picture I made in MSPaint all by my lonesome (we dont get photoshop or sketchup at work lol)

As you can see from this very skillful image(or maybe not), I will be getting a slot loading dvd-rom drive. No tray=one less thing to fuss with. I want to mount it in the case vertically, which shouldnt be an issue since there will be nothing else in the drive bays (I have plans for this). The front of the case I was planning to use (Silverstone TJ-06)

will ultimately be covered in a piece of smoked acrylic, the power button will be replaced and I wanted to have the lines coming out of it like in the picture, to look kinda "circuity" (yes I just made that word up :smoker: ) that will light up when the computer is on. Same deal with the window, I was thinking on the side there I would make my window and etch the lines into it, and then shine some red LEDs into the side to light up the etching. For the interior I am going to put my current rig into it and watercool the thing, but the specifics of that are not set in stone yet (I am having a hard time finding many choices for an AM2 Waterblock. :think: )
That said, what are your thoughts/questions/concerns? Ive got more to work out on this thing and will update as I come up with more ideas.
