Is there a specific Dremel cutting disk that I should be using to cut?

Specifically Im working on another case and cutting out a window on the side panel. I have used up 5-6 Heavy Duty cut off wheels (# 420) for less than a foot of a cut.

That was just part of the straight cuts, the curves are going to take considerably more work, Just wanted to see if mabe I was using the wrong type of disk or is this about avg for cutting a prett standard thickness side panel?

Any hints, tips, suggestions on the best way to cut lines and curves would be greatly appreciated. (Current plan is to rough out the curves with straight cuts as close as possible then grind out the actual rounding)

Thanks in advanced

Use a jigsaw for some of the cuts. I'm not sure what prices are like where you are, but here at the hardware store a small pack of cutting disks was $25, a jigsaw is $15 for a cheap one, plus a couple of bucks for some blades.

DUH!

Thanks man, I should smack myself for not thinking of that. I can lock this panel down and cut it out with a jigsaw in 20 minutes, almost perfectly smooth.

I use a Jigsaw on wood all the time, just didint make the obvious connection to use it on metal.....and to think I was trying figure out who I knew that would have a plasma cutter I could use.

Will have to stop by Home Depot and pic up some metal blades tomorrow.

Thanks again Bucko!
