what RAM, CPU HD do you use?

and a flashlight that game is awfully dark. Mashie what were your bench marks if you have any or frame rates? I played it with my onboard GF4 so I never saw the game in all its glory.

if your having problems with that kinda hardware then I would look into driver's. Your memory brand is unfamiliar to me aswell, try using some brand name stuff. Also try playing around with your settings. If your still having problems then I would say do a fresh install of windows and see if that helps. Your hardware however is more then adequate to play Doom 3 even at its highest settings.

I'm with ZeD on this one. Your system specs are right up Doom 3's alley, however I also don't recognize PQI memory, saw their site, might warrant some investigating...eventually, but for the meantime, if you can afford it, look into the OCP or Mushkin RAM for that puppy, do a driver check, optimize your system better, and again as ZeD says, if all else fails, it's a Windows re-install you should consider.

Good Luck with that.

Hmmm....well actually, I'm not so sure about the whole SLI thing...

Call me crazy, but there are a few things that would make Doom 3 look good...

-Insane Texture Storage: We're looking at 512MB of vRAM here...not too easy to come by...however SLI might be able to pull it off, but I think 512MB cards are coming out soon.

-Good OpenGL style rendering: I remember Doom 3 doesn't run off OpenGL, but it does use an OpenGL style shadow system...so if you get a videocard with good OpenGL rendering, it should do okay with the shadows.

Mashie's suggestion isn't looking so bad...does anybody know if SLI counts as 512MB of vRam? Can games use that yet?

Lol, so this is the system you intend to buy since it is impossible for you to have DDR2 memory with an FX55. :D

if ultra is the highest setting, someone from the developers said you need 512mb for that setting to run properly in a pc gamer interview.I might be wrong but i am just trying to help.

Just very unfortunate the ultra setting doesn't increase the number of polygons instead of textures. No matter how good the textures and light maps are, the heads on every character are still pointy.
