i was on yahoo with my cam, i dont know how to set it up so it runs off a webpage. if someone could find free hosting for that sort of thing it owuld be much appriciated. ill be updating this forum every time i go on cam out in my work shed, even though the camera is crappy.
Yahoo messed up so i lost a few add requests i htink, other than yours paul ;). so if anyone wants to see my briefcase mod/umbrelssa corp mod, contact me wit hthe links to the left

yeah, thats exactly what i meant, i was just in to much of a rush to properly spell out what i was trying to say, lol.
the case is comin along rather smoothingly, i just picked up some insulating rubber, come bolts, screws, and the likes. i also picked up some paint.
heres the interesting part. i have 4 side panels to work with, but only 2 frames. so i have to get the frames just right, but the side panels i have 2 chances to botch without having to do major redconstructive sugery on the paint job. ill be testing out the color theme tonigght.
btw, what sounds better for a window. clear with logo in the center, logo with black background and not paint where the red or white is to show the inside. i have plenty of red lighting, but not white paint ATM. -_-

Just run Windows Media Encoder on your computer
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx
Download Windows Media Encoder 9 Series
Once installed
And when it opens in the wizard click broadcast a live event.
Follow the prompts and it gives you.
Finally click start encoding an there you have it. You are know streaming a live feed.
You may have to set up port forwarding on your router for people to view it.
Just take the address it gave you and open windows media player and go file . open url type in url hit enter. Wait for it to buffer and bobs your uncle you know have a streaming webcam.
You could even embed a media player on a web page so the world can view it through there browsers.
Or you could make an account on Stickam (http://www.stickam.com) (it's free)
And then embed it into a webpage like I do (http://camera.codeinsurrection.com).

Modding would be great to capture on video.
BUT, when you're sawing through that rough little plastic thing and you cut you're self, I hope everyones prepared for an hour of you screaming and cursing.

actually, ive never seriously hurt myself modding. (knock on wood)
i cant figure out where to place the cam though. i have a computer thats actually quite sufficient for using as a shop pc,
1700+ (the good stepping) OCed to 2ghz
1gig dual channel ram
6600GT OCedable but left alone for now
140+ storage over 2 IDE drives
no optical drive, but ready for it
webcam with mic(of course)
that machine plays wow and CS:S perfectly, so if i get board theres always gaming in the work shop, lol.
ill be modding later on today, so ill try to get it on cam.
btw, add me on yahoo. xSpaceButlerx@yahoo.com
so far the only request ive gotten was good ol' Paul.
You guys are the reason i mod, all of you as a whole area great inspiration. so get on board and come watch me mod a case and possibly even witness my first major injury ;)
If you want, if you make a Stickam account I can embed it on a webpage and also host that webpage. And I'm feeling generous, so if you use something like Windows Media Encoder, I'll host that for you too. Anyone remember when I saw what looked like a flea inside of my computer, and setup a live video feed?

Yeah, TBCS flea circus...
I want to see the cannon in action...
I would be up for getting involved. I don' have much time in the next couple of days, but could tune in.

WebcamXP worked fantastic when I had it installed and was doing the live modding stuff. Having really good upload speeds is a + when lots of people are viewing. There are tons of options in the app as well.
