Wow that is some great work welcome to the forum.
Your sketch up skills are excellent.
Trust me looking at the work you have done so far you are not a newb. Far from it in fact.
Keep going this is sweet!

Welcome. Wow, in your first two posts you show some of the work you have done, I, in the other hand, haven't done a single mod to anything but swapping parts of one mouse to another in the 460 posts I've had here. This looks like it's gonna be a great looking mod. *subscribes*
Looks damn good man. Welcome to TBCS, and keep up the good work.

Wow! nice, u got some skillz with sketchup. bit concerned about dust through the big hole by the shield though...maybe some mesh could cover it up?

Thanks Simon, In fact I'm a newbie. The term "modding" came to my mind just a couple months ago. I started to design using 3DMax but it's very time consuming for me. Now SketchUp makes thing like this a lot easier.

Thanks for your comments. You have pointed out exactly about the big hole. Another acrylic mesh will cover it up, with a blow hole for R120mm transparent intake fan.

I have only some hours a week so progress is a little bit slow. This week I started with the front part of the chassis (this part will not be visible, just make the case mechanically more reliable.
- I have no dremel, just an angle grinder and a drill. The aluminum metal sheet is only 2mm thick so it's difficult to use an electrical jig saw too. This is my prefer tool then

- Started to drill pilot hole for jig-sawing

- Mounted with C-clam shell

- Finished cut

- A close up, edges have not been cleaned-up yet :)
