Alright. So for the case I'm making, the general shape will be a pyramid. It'll be a flat sqaure on the top though. I guess the outside will be made out of plastic. But what I want to do, is have a metal frame on the inside, for shape and support.

Similar to what this is

So I'll need to find some some metal tubes and joints to make it. Then I suppose I can solder them together too. I was thinking at first of having round tubes to make this. But if I could find some triangular ones, that would make the shape of it easier and provide more strength.

Below, I made some rough designs of what I basically mean.

So what I need to know, is where do you think I could find something like this? And is there any particular name I would call this item?

You could use the smallest diameter copper plumbing you get your hands on from a supplier but that would probably be expensive. Basically try and contact plumbing or pipe suppliers drive out to where ever they are and see what they have.

Copper might be my only choice. Though it wouldn't be as strong as steel, and would conduct more heat than steel.

Not sure about the triangular piping, but those other pieces I am pretty certain you could find at a home depot in the plumbing section

I was just going to say that. You can find this stuff everywhere at places like Home Depot.

You could always make your own triangular piping. Just get a bunch of flat pieces acrylic or something and Weld-On it together.

you could get small diameter PVC tubing. The fun part would be making it look good, but its cheap, readily available, and easy to work with.

The price of copper will run you up a bit...If you mess up a piece, it may end up costing you an extra $20 you didn't want to spend. I agree with Snowfire - Use Acrylic...You can make your own acrylic glue

and that would hold it together...It'd give you a nice clear appearance that wouldn't take away from the design all too much.

Looking at your project, I thought of somehting.

Are you going to watercool that system?

:)

If you use piping for the frame, you could turn it into a watercooling system. It'd be useful while holding the frame.

But the acrylic glue seems to be the best way...
