so, i'm thinking of making a super backpack, with a lot of electronics, most of the stuff i want to put in is low voltage and easy to work with, but i also want to put in some speakers, standard little 2.0's that plug into a wall, but thats the problem, they plug into a wall, i was wondering if anyone who knows of a solution to get maybe 10 or so 9v batteries to run 220v for a while could help me with maybe a wiring diagram or description it'd be VERY helpful. i know my battery life will be utter crap but thats no issue. any help with this is greatly appreciated.

You don't want to walk around with an inverter on your back...
Open up the speakers, you'll find a small transformer which takes the 220V down to (probably) 12V. Remove the transformer (saves weight too) and connect your DC supply directly to the amp.

Aero has some ideas on a tech backpack. (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6587) Actually, he wanted to make a whole backpack from scratch. He seems to have forgotten about the thread though.

Find some speakers that work with batteries, I know a guy at school was listening to his music while smoking, and we could hear it from a good range.
