I could really use one, for multiple moding purposes, but I do not have one. I know a good one is going to cost me at least $100 probably, and $100 might be all I can afford for now. I'm still looking for a new job, so I'm very limited on funds. And I also plan on putting some money towards setting up that computer camera system for the store too. So anyways, maybe you guys could suggest something for me that;s out of my range for now, but I could get it when I can afford it. I'll need it for many purposes. Though the main reason I'd need it is for cutting. I also plan to use to for cutting things such as sheet metal, so I'll need something strong and durable. I suppose I'd need a carbide cutting wheel for cutting things like steel, right? The point is, I have no idea where to start or what to look for when buying a dremel. Any suggestions?

I like this one... Dremel Multi-Pro. (http://www.amazon.com/Dremel-3956-02-MultiPro-Variable-Accessories/dp/B00006JSPB/ref=sr_1_3/102-1355021-9717753?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1174175299&sr=1-3) It's cheap, has lots of accessories, and it includes a flex shaft.

Try Amazon for more Dremel's and Dremel related products. They have tons of em for great prices. I also like this site for Dremels...

I've been looking at a Ryobi setup at Home Depot. I tried to find a link and couldn't. It had just about every bit you could imagine plus a flexshaft for 50 bucks.

I imagine it will be mine here in a couple weeks...

Perhaps I could go in to Home Depot or some place like that and ask someone there about the ones they have. I trust you guys more with this though. And if I order online, I have more if a variety to choose from. The one SnowFire linked to seems to be good. Comes with a lot and the price isn't too steep.

I have an older model of this exact kit and it has never let me down. Some of the best money I ever spent on a tool.

+rep SnowFire for a good recommendation.

I also have this same kit, except more accessories. Same dremel though.

Lowe's will have a dremel sale about once a year. Almost all of their discs, bits, and kits go on sale for a week or so. Check in once in a while to see. I got the multipro kit with 120 accessories for under 90 bucks.

If you're wanting to use something as small as a dremel for large or heavy metal cuts, I would highly recommend reinforced cutting disks. The regular ones aren't designed for heavy or thick use.

In reality, I would recommend a jigsaw or scroll saw with a metal bit.

I've been told to use a jigsaw, but I'd still like to use a Dremel for it.

That first one that was linked to on Amazon still seems good, and it's $66 off right now.

If I were to cut something like steel, would these diamond cutting wheels be good for that?

If they can cut through concrete, they should be able to go through a thin sheet of steel just fine.

I haven't bought one yet. And I guess that's $179.99 CAN, not USD, right? Well, I'm in the U.S., in Massachusetts, so I can't even buy that one anyway. I can't even view that one without entering in a valid Canadian postal code.

What would be a good type cutting wheel for cutting steel? I can get a pack of 5 diamond ones for $8.
