Yeah...I know...be a while sence I have been around. I have started a new project. I had a compaq given to me...so I decided, hey, they looks..........like crap. So I am going to make it all nice and pretty. I have started on some work with it, but for now all I have is the start picture. (This is stock as I forgot to take a pic before I started work.) I don't know what all I am going to do with it yet. I am trying to bondo the cover...see how that comes out as I have never done it before. I already cut a window out on the side panel. Nothing fancy...just a squar window. Up for suggestions too.

There a reason my last post was removed?

Well, my last post got deleted for some reason. So I will post again...

First is the front of the case. It splits into two parts...one the black part that makes up the majority of it and the second is the bottom Silver part. I put the first coat of bondo on to cover some holes and such, and to get it ready for the blow hole.

First coat...sanded.

Main part of the front. Still was wet when I took this picture.

Second Coat on the front

Here is the side cut out.

Here I painted it. The color scheam for this is a dark navy blue to a dark green fade...you can see it better on the main part of the body below.

Here is the blow hole I am working on. The cup is in there for shape and I will cut it to blend in when the bondo dries. This went on after I sanded the second coat.

Main part of the front again. Going to take out the floppy hole as I dont use a floppy anymore.

The theme for this is Linux....I am going to etch the pingwin into the side window and write Linux on the top part of the case. I hope it turns out like I expect it will...

no offence but that paint job looks terrible on the side pannel. you need to sand it and put a few more coats.

Cardan...yeah...that was just to show yall the way it fades....my dog was outsid when I was painting and he kicked up grass on it....which is why it turned out...well...like crap. It has already been sanded. Jusy waiting to go paint it again. I am at work now, so I will probably paint it tonight. Baby Tux would be a good idea. I havent decided exactly yet. I know I wanted to put the pinguin on it, but I started thinking about a red hat....I may even try to do a cluster of images. Like a bunch of different popular linux logo including the pingiun.
