Y'all know how I hate to bitch (oh wait, no I don't) but here goes...

I understand that "The Chatterbox" is for generalized OT chatter but c'mon guys, enough is enough.

* We have 6 different threads all about signature images, and I think a couple of those were started by the same person. 1 of these threads already has 10 pages worth of comments, is YOUR thread so much better or different that it can't go in with everyone else's?

* We have several people who post almost religiously Monday thru Friday and if you go check out their latest and greatest thing, it just happens to be the most popular YouTube video or the Google video du'jour.

Post count doesn't win you any awards and while I am sure that text takes up much less bandwidth than pictures, someone (and it isn't us yet) has to pay for the webspace for you to say that you can't decide between green #6 and green #7.
Now that I have started THIS thread I admit I am just as guilty and I am ready to take my lumps, but this isn't your blog, it's a forum, let's try to at least find things that will interest 1/4 of our 666 regular viewers instead of the dozen of us who fel the need to respond to everything.

I will agree with the multiple threads. That's completely unnecessary and gets old fast.

As for people posting OT things, I have no issue with it, as long as they do it in the appropriate thread.

We have a youtube thread, wallpaper thread, vehicle thread. Don't start another.

In defense of all the topics, at least 70% of the current topics are computer related in some way and that's good. Let's keep the questions, ideas and on topic discussions going.

I always prefer to have talk about 'whatever' in one of my started threads, than no talk at all.

Simple solution to stupid threads. Think before you post.

These threads are really boring lately too. Don't go and post whatever little thing you find that you think is neat. Chances are nobody cares. Share stuff that is REALLY worth sharing. I just looked through the chatterbox and saw maybe one good thread. Unfortunately it was old news. Exciting NEW news is what we need more of. **When in doubt, ask yourself this. Would Paul (Crimson Sky) find this interesting? lol works everytime. :)

Simple Solution to if you are bored.

Go mod something! I don't know what you guys think this website is... but its most definitely a MODDING website before a post anything you want website.

If you don't have anything to mod, as in your just making excuses because your a bum, then spend more time helping people. Or just go take a hike and get some fresh air. Also, I am only going to assume that most of you (us) are males. ...I'm also going to assume that most of you (us) don't have girlfriends. OH C'MON! I know so many hot chicks that don't care about looks its ridiculous! Find some girls, go hang out with them, get a life. It may not say that you are not aloud to swear, but this is also supposed to be a welcoming place to pretty much everyone. That last single page has more F-words than most multiple page dead threads. Don't go around swearing just because you know how. I think most people on this site are intelligent people, but it makes me think otherwise when they are lazy and throw foul language around instead of finding the appropriate word.

I often times want to give people a bad rep for unnecessary swearing but resist because it is true that it is not in the rules that you can't swear. At the same time I have seen people be more and more loose with their language and that is not the image we want this forum to have. If it gets any worse I will start giving bad reps for it.

Many of you express that this is a place that you would want your kids to come to, I would not want my kids to come here and read some of the things that are written. Besides the occasional bad language there is constant allusion to masturbation. Even though some of you think that the internet is for porn (http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/internet4porn), it has many other uses and I do not want my kids asking me what people are referring to when they say that "their pants just got a little wet" or "now I will have a free hand for . . .other things."

People need to grow up. We all know what penises and vaginas are, or at least hopefully one of the two, so let's be adults and not constantly talk about them or what we do with them.

I know that the last page was mostly a joke, so I'm not so mad about that, but there are still times when people cuss too much, and it is really unnecessary. My rule of thumb is: if I were publishing this as a book, would I leave this in or edit it. I agree that there are places where somebody just has to swear to make it feel right for them, but that would apply to maybe 5% of the stuff that is posted.

About the allusions to masturbation, I read two threads today that alluded to it. I could probably find twenty threads without even trying and link them here. It happens a lot and makes this forum feel really immature and unprofessional. I don't know how many times I'll be reading a good worklog to have someone come in and say they are wankin' off the worklog pics.

About posting it in this thread, it's been on my mind because it has been happening a lot lately and I figured a thread where someone was saying "enough is enough" would be the most appropriate place for it.

Wow ironcat, I am with you 100% with this one. To be honest,I've been posting less and less on here because lately all we've had on these forums is a bunch of BS. I know I sound harsh, because there are still good mods here and everything, but the amount of BS, flaming and fighting, OT talk, thread hijacking, and most of all immaturity is starting to bother me. I know that the sig thing could be construed as being down to me (it seems they all popped up right after my sig making offer and Gimp tut) but I honestly did not see this coming.

If there are problems with my threads in particular, stick a note in a reply, and they'll be goned pronto - I don't wanna cause probs.
