Server question.

I know this is a complete Noob question but every time i see mention of it on these forums i have no clue what people are talking about.

When people are talking about servers they often describe them in terms of a number followed by u. ("1 u") What does this mean? I'm sure its obvious and I'm just a moron but I'm completely lost here.

short answer, its a thin PC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1U_server) that fits in a rack system

Thanks : ) I actually just found the article on 19 inch rack which also explained it pretty well. Turns out it was pretty much just what i thought it was.
