I understand there is a thread very similar to this but I wanted to take a poll on what everybody though about apple.

Can't really choose any, i went with best though lol.
They are both equal:
Windows are great gaming machines, Macs are great designing machines.
Macs are sexy. Some PCs are, most are fugly.
OS X is the best OS by far, Windows crashes and is unreliable 80% of the time.
Windows = Virus hell. Mac = Safer.
PCs are customizable, only a few parts in a Mac are.
Macs allow for lots of connectivity, but as most PC users just want to use their stuff they think they are crap at compatibility there are alternatives as its a totally different OS.
Im no way a fanboy of either, they are equal ihmo.

I definitely choose Windows, that's where most, if not all, games are.

I didn't vote because there isn't an answer that really fits how i feel. I also think they are about equal. It all comes down to preference. I use both on a regular basis. I will admit that i sometimes have an easier time navigating around OS X though.

Macs are better in some ways, but PC is superior in others.
Depends seriously on what you want to do, and how you want to do it.
I've recommended Macs to some people, based on their wants.
I've recommended Windows to others for the same reason.
I've recommended Linux to still others.
Hell, I've even recommended some people just go buy a Dell, while sitting down with others and explaining how to build/rebuild their comp.
To me it's the Chevy/Ford arguement.

the only thing apples are good for is making apple crisp... mmmm apple crisp.. oh wait this is for apple computers i voted they sucked. i have no real experience with them but i don't like them. there commercials are good though.
To me it's the Chevy/Ford arguement.
well then clearly chevy is windows and ford is mac. and even more so clear is that chevy is the best and by transit of property (first time saying that, not sure if it makes any sense though) so is windows!
Yep, the Chevy/Ford thing. I'll take the Lotus.... and I voted that way too.

Nevermind the hardware, how about the damned software like QuickTime that hijacks your ENTIRE flippin' comp and holds it by the short hairs.

Hah! I guess I made this one up myself (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2003-49,GGLD:en&q=%22I%27m+on+it+like+Bald+on+Britney%22)

I know, I didn't even know f*king iTunes was running in my background, downloading updates while I was trying to play BF2142 online. Quicktime freakin' starts up every time, and all I wanted was the damned plugin for Windows Media Player... Apple is terrible when it comes to Windows software. None of this really needed to be said, but hey, it's good to have opinions written down...
On it like bald on Britney?
Ever seen a psychiatrist?

Got -repped for this post, I've obviously offended someone anonymous (no comment left).
Sorry, didn't mean to offend, but thanks for letting me know :)

Personally, all I really use my computer for is image editing, animating, web designing, listening to music and surfing the internet. I don't care for games like I used to. I would choose a Mac Pro *drool* over any PC you could throw me, hands down, if I had the money. Of course, anyone who utilizes a computer solely for gaming is not going to have anything to do with a Mac.
I wish PCs looked and ran as smooth as Macs, though. I wish Macs were as affordable and customizable as PCs. I wish my PC could run OS X legitimately. I wish I could multi-task and navigate in Windows XP as flawlessly as I could in OS X. I wish I didn't have to finagle with Windows XP to get it to run decently without being susceptible to viruses or hardware failure.
More importantly, I wish there wasn't so much hype around which of two computer genres are ultimately better. I wish more people were interested in the fact that we are alive in this computer era with so many amazing technological advances happening and so many options for any type of person. I wish the technology and capabilities of five years ahead were here right now. I wish the OS world would fuse and become completely open sourced, steering consumers away from big marketing tactics and forcing them to get involved with their $1000 workstations, understanding how they tick and what is really important in choosing a system that is tailored specially for their specific needs.

That would never happen. I'm not saying it wouldn't have some positive benefits... it would just never happen. Your hardcore computer users, like those of us on this site, might care about how their computer ticks but the rest of the world really couldn't care. The teenage girls walking around with there 500 dollar cell phones don't care how they work and they surely don't care how their computer works as long as they can get to AIM. Mothers and Grandmas don't care how computers work as long as they can store thousands of pictures of their kids first soccer game. The business man down the street doesn't care as long as his presentation works when he starts it up at that important meeting next week. People just want something that they can install and run. No one really wants to use a command line, no one wants to hunt around the internet looking for drivers and then hacking them to work on their current system. You have to think about the average consumer.
In short... most people don't care. And while i myself may like to know how my computer ticks i realize that its perfectly acceptable for the rest of society to not want to know (hell it creates jobs for the rest of us so I'm not going to complain). I'm not trying to offend so i hope you didn't take it the wrong way i was just pointing out why i don't think something like that will ever happen. Of coarse I'm also willing to admit that I am a proponent of commercial software.

Macs are absolutely KING...
that is until the logic board decides to poop out and you have to spend as much as the list price of the computer to fix it.
Oh and btw...macs like to die right around the time your warranty runs out. build a pc desktop...at least you can replace parts for minimal cost if they break.
My old Powerbook G4 used to be my favorite computer ever. But as you can see, I've had problems.
OSX Tiger, however, beats any os microsoft has ever made.

1. We don't flame here.
2. You kinda could use complete sentences and such, but I read it just fine, at least it's not a big blob... well, it is, but it's not an illegible one, like you can be illegible with text. :D
3. But yeah, I pretty much agree with you.
4. I'm done now.
5. Actually... no, I'm done right about... now... *shuts up already :D*

Well, at least you aren't \/\/r171|\|6 |_1|<3 7|-|15, right? I actually tried to have a conversation with someone typing like that, it took them like four times as long to write anything and it took me about eight times as long to read it. I left that convo after about 12 seconds after the first "sentence." :D Oh, and the rep system should help against flaming, but yeah, it is sad to see people cheating in an argument by getting angry and using insults... and just b*ing to change someone's mind or whatever.
I just saw that we have another thread about this going on too, one with a poll or something, just to let everyone know.
EDIT: As in another thread comparing Macs and PCs.

No offense taken whatsoever. You make a very solid point and I appreciate you lending me this perspective on a completely open sourced era. In fact, you're absolutely correct and I agree with you wholeheartedly. Not to mention that I am also apt to indulge in the commercialism. I actually believe I'm more enthusiastic than knowledgeable by any degree.
