ok so this is probably writen all over the forum.. but something i learnt the hard way (when two of my hdds died) is never ever ever drill/jigsaw/cut your comp case with your precious 'stuff' still inside or at least cover it somehow. Although i had a strong vacum working to suck all the little metal shards out of the case, but obviously not enough, because when i turned the comp on neither hdd was detected... try them in another comp and still no luck... look at the pcb and what the hell, its got some little metal peices stuck to it that sure werent there before! suck them off and i was blessed enough to have full use of my hdds again...
