No offence mate but I really don't think TBCS is the place to ask people for there facebook links. Besides I hate faceparty and have never been on there website but I still seem to recieve loads of e-mails from them asking to join.

faceparty and facebook are two different things. Facebook is what myspace should have been.

Social networking sites as a whole are a horrible failure and a shining demonstration of what's wrong and degenerate in internet society.

Yes, I just said that.

My problem(s) with them are:

A) There are too many of them.
B) Nobody gets on frequently enough.
C) Everyone I'd like to talk to is nearby, except you guys of course, and I can talk to by phone or email, or just hang out... usually.
D) Horrible load times, freakin' MySpace takes a while to load, and people jam too much crap on their profile, I mean really... you don't need five Family Guy videos and another three random vids that nobody cares about, and the profile songs should not start right away.

Ahh, just me ranting, but yeah, there are a lot of things that could be improved with a little common sense, which people seem to ignore way too much.

Hey, InterGalacticMan,

Don't feel bad that we're all coming out swinging.
It isn't against you...
It's just that this has provided us with a place to vent our thoughts.

I once read that MySpace and FaceBook are a worldwide social experiment for retards.

I find that funny, but un-fair to retards.

Anyway, I don't have a MySpace or FaceBook,.. and here's my problem with them (other than the waste of time):::

All that **** will be searchable in the future.
All that you post, all the links, all the connection, all the """networking""", will be easily accessible in the future.

What if you 'accept' as a friend a guy that in his page has like, 20 gazillion photos of him and his friends trippin' in meth?
What if somebody posts a message in your page saying "Hey! Can't wait for the next time we shoot heroin man! Peace!... and thanks for add!"
What if you're wrongly linked to a group of people known for highly illegal activities?

I just don't like that.

And to be honest, I bask in the glow that comes from seeing this utterly clueless people fill in their lives into these sites.

That's just me. :)
(btw, I +rep InterGalacticMan.... I felt bad man... we're busting his nuts :p)

yeah myspace has developed into a sort of urban slum-like area and facebook are the new suburbs with with white picket fences (for now at least)

BTW i change the thread topic to debate myspace vs facebook, kay
