You should see me at Karate. I'm good at taking hits and avoiding them; i got a reputation for being able to get in a sneaky fast jab when my opponent isn't expecting it. I don't hit hard though, which is my main weakness; also my left side is pathetic. My kicks are high and strong, but inaccurate. I get the impression that people enjoy sparring with me though, which is good; the only people who i don't like sparring with are the assholes that actually try to take you down in one punch, it kind of misses the point. Thankfully, i only know one or two guys like that, and even they aren't so bad.

I miss Karate...haven't been able to go in a while :(

It's not the point of sparring though. We get taught 2 ways to use every technique at my class: what to use on the street, and what to use when sparring. If you try and take someone's teeth out at a competition, you're facing immediate disqualification.

That's the difference between sport and real world application.
In sport, it's more about technique and aptitude of the art.
In the real world, it's more about resolving the violence quickly and with as little physical damage or conflict as possible.

As for the video. Good work for an early attempt. Nice editing. The music is a bit corny, but the actual editing work is well done.
If you're going to do this again, increase lighting. It creates an interesting shadowed contrast, but your main subjects are dark with background lighting.

Still, very good. Keep it up.
