Nice, but he doesn't really address that question about adding new hard wear (sic). I can't see how you would use any expansion slots.
It's still really nice though.

it would be pretty cool if someone made a case with a cage as the side panel(it would be plastic not metal). With tubes and stuff going through the case. AND A REAL HAMSTER or a gerbil, but hamsters are so much cooler.

As an April Fools day joke, they got in very early as it's been on there for months.

Well, considering that it's obviously a photoshop job, and you get 3.14159 geek points for buying it compared to about 250-300 for a $20 shirt, I don't believe it's real.
"supports up to 7 expansion slots" - With that big tube in the way?
"6 total drive bays" - Erm, minus four for the dome thing.
Nope, I don't buy it.

The fact that when you click on checkout it says it's an April Fools day joke leads me to believe the same thing, I was just stating it had been there for months.

Actually I have 2 extra cases at home, and my girlfriend has a hamster...she saw something like that online and wants to build a case into a hamster cage...lol we might actually do it after the big move....thought it would be funny to attach a hamster wheel to a 120mm fan housing so when the hamster ran on the wheel it spun the fan blades..

Or even better, HAMSTER POWERED! Just slap one of those suckers on a wheel hooked up to a turbine or something and you'll get about a half watt of power... you could hook a couple LEDs to it and have a cool blinking pattern, who needs WoW anyway? jk :D

It can be done...
<thinks back...> Remember the unidyne mod? Well that guy has a site showing some of his other work. One of them is a PC built into a standard power supply, and fitted into an otherwise empty case containing a disco ball.
You could put a hamster wheel in there instead.

omg this is so funny. I'm th builder of the GerbilPC and I just Googled it and it came up aith 496 results. The GerbilPC will be featured in an upcoming PC World magazine under case mods, and it's ranked as the 2nd best case mod of all time on extremetech.com . I would have never expected so many people to love it.....

I understand, bigger and better things happen. I tried to sell it on three sites, after all. It only took 3 months for me to be tired with it.

yeah we're actually planning something like that. The GerbilPC has been sitting in a corner collecting dust for about 2 months, but we're gonna bring it out and do a few more mods to it. It going to be like your idea, but reversed ;-). The fan will spin the gerbil. We're doing another cool mod to it as well, but I won't say anything about it until it's done....
