Where could I find acrylic tubes of varying sizes? I have something I want to do which I would need a small tube for. But I'll also want to make a reservoir later on as well. So for that, I'd need a bigger tube. Where can I find these?

Check the internet.

Google is a great idea before you post here.

Check out a place like US Plastics or if you want more color and variety then Google is your friend as well.

So anyways, when I did check google, US Plastic never came up, yet they seem to have the best prices and products. So your input was a help to me.

Now, as for the tubes

http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=usplastic&category%5Fname=21315&product%5Fid=11231

I'm confused on whether the sizes are measured in length, diameter, or edge thickness, and don't know which number is which. And now I just realised it's sold by the foot >_>. But I still don't know which number is the thickness and which one the diameter.

Does "OD" mean overal diameter?

OD = Outside Diameter
ID = Inside Diameter

That's really a big help to me now that I know what it means.

So a tube with 1 1/4" OD x 1 1/8" ID would have a thickness of 1/8", right? No, wait, it would be 1/16"

You were right. The wall of the tube would be 1/8".

Are you sure? When I first came up with 1/8", I wasn't thinking about both sides of the tube. I even made up two drawings of it to make sure I had the right answer.

Thickness of the plexi= (OD-ID)/2, since the outer diameter means the whole tube you are getting both walls included in the measurement...

They seem to have a great selection of poducts. Though I recieved an e-mail from them about my order. The tube that I ordered is only available is 6 foot sections, so I have to change my order to 6 feet of tube before it can be sent. If it's only available in 6 foot sections, why not just give me 6 feet in the first place.
