Well, on April 29th, what do you think people will be willing to pay for them on eBay once they come out?
I'm guessing $700-$800 (Release price is $480 for those who don't know.)

I won't be buying one. There isn't anything "elite" about them in my opinion. They have a pretty nice upgrade for the hard drive and it comes with those nice $50 HD cables so you don't have to go out and buy one. Hmm... its also black.
I'll buy a core system and paint it whatever color I want (Maybe even throw in a cool side panel window with "1337" etched in?). Then I'll buy an even better and bigger laptop HDD and mod it so it works with the 360. I'll have to buy the HD cables though... but its not like they are free with the elite edition. Its pretty well covered in the asking price I think. Basically... for the same price or for a tad bit more, I'll make mine truly "elite". I'll also make sure to label it right too... "1337". newayz...
I think I heard that these aren't going to be one of a kind. Just for awhile they will be, then they will be standard. or something. idk, anyone know for sure?
Oh yea... my guess is also $700-$800.
One more thing, I would of thought the Elite to be truly "Elite" if they would of put in a HD-DVD drive. But they didn't... which is stupid I think. Or even just put in WiFi... that would of been kick ass too.

I read an article about these systems the other day. They arent a limited run and from what I have heard people are largely unimpressed with the fact that "Elite" only means its black, has a bigger hard drive, and an HDMI cable (which is useless unless you have the HD-DVD drive btw)...my guess is they wont go for THAT much over the base price.

Sure about that?
I'm not sure, and that's why I'm asking.
But I would think that you could get a high def TV set, plug in the 360 with the HDMI cables... and load, say Gears of War and play it high def.
Definitely, movies that you don't have the HD-DVD drive for, it ain't working.
But, ... I *think* you can play games high def.
Or am I wrong? (<-- very high possibility)
..............
As to the price.... I'd go with $700.
If the procs aren't upgraded, I don't see a need for it.
The hdd for me, is... un-important at this point.
Again, has anybody ran out of space on a 360 hdd???
I want the basic hdd, but I don't see a need for the big one right now.
And black?
I'm with Snow Fire on this one.
Bleh... Sunday afternoon... six-pack of Buds... inspiration from the TBCS worklogs... some paint... and it'll really be 1337.

The elite is black, but once those are gone, the same hardware will be the new premium ones (so i read). so if you jsut wait, you can get the same thing for the same price as the premium ones now.
I'm pretty sure you can play the games high def. (not positive) We ran out of space on our 360 but thats because i download every demo known to man... shoot it's like free games, i only play the first level in most games anyway :-)

I don't currently have an Xbox 360 (or even a plain old Xbox, for that matter).
I'm contemplating on whether I should wait for the 65nm processors or not. What do you guys think? Is it worth the wait to get the chips that use less power and run cooler? That should mean a smaller (or at least cooler) power brick and less heat from the back of the 360. Another reason I might wait would be because newer games, like Halo 3, will use every bit of power in the processor making it more susceptible to overheating.
Once again, should I wait for the 65nm chips?
Thanks in advance -Redundant
