I know some of you have this case, how is it?

And is that enough neon, is it bright, because if its not i was thinking of buying these(i want it to be pretty light): http://www.xoxide.com/bluecathode.html

I was also going to put some of these Purple Cathodes in my Dell Computer that my sis will be getting soon.

How do these things connect tho, i cant seem to understand.(Does it have something to do with the power supply, My customs going to have 700WATT and my Dell is 375Watt.)

i personally like that case. if you want it light though, look into gettin aftermarket stuff, cause its really only got the 2 120mm fans in it that provide light, and they dont like up anything cool. ive got an extra 10 Led's in my case to spotlight some cool stuff, like my Thermalright heatsink, video card and such.

if you want to put in some cathode's, keep in mind that they are notorious for having the inverter catch fire or blow up. ive personally seen it, and ive heard of MANY cases were others have too.

installation wise though, its extremely simple. the on/off switch is usually installed in a standard PC card slot cover, and powers on through a regular molex connection.

Or you could do what i did, and have a safer mod. i bought some Leds that are actually made for accent lighting in a car. since a computer uses a 12volt (same as a car) all i did was hardwire my LED's to a switch, which was connected to a (modified and hardwire) molex connection. Its SO easy either way you go. Cold cathode, or Led.
also, keep in mind a 12 inch cathode is long. (obviously a foot) so, you have to be somewhat selective to where you can install it. Led's are puny, and you can hide them anywhere. im a huge fan of "hidden" lighting, where you cant see the source, just the light it emmits. But thats me

Can you explain to me how you hardwired them to a switch.

How many of these on/off switches are installed in a standard PC card slot cover? I really have no clue what that is, do you have a pic, i only know all the basic parts not much of these connectors and cables.

You can get LED's from your neighborhood Radio Shack, but they're a rip off. I've used www.lsdiodes.com before. Cheap prices, 45 cents/each, and they send free stuff too. Some of the guys on here have managed to get some from eBay too.

Ok i was thinking this, Buying a LED 80mm fanor more(how many can you connect in one PC?) and buying this: http://www.xoxide.com/logisys-jumbo-led-blue.html *(WERE DOES THE FAN CONNECT AND THE LAZER LED)*
I would find a spot for that on the bottom or trying hanging it up over my Video card and some other spots. /Pretty nice Spot Light/

Sorry again for being such a n00b, dont even know were you plug the fan in(really cant learn off this Dell, its pretty basic except my video card)

Fans connect with a standard molex connector, or a 3-pin slot on your mobo. You can connect as many as you have connections (and power). I imagine the Lazer LEDs use a molex connector too (you know what that is right? If not, here you go (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Molex_female_connector.jpg).) Hope that helps.

theres one 3 pin slot on my Dell and 1 empty moltex connector

To tell you the truth, i dont remember where i got the led's, but they were originally meant for ambient car lighting. Mine done give off a ton of light, but.. enough for ambient spotlighting.

Its too hard for me to explain right now how to wire it up, cause im honestly so mentally drained right now. its sooo easy, and i jsut cant think of how to explain it without showing you. Since im so vegged right now, i cant even find a decent diagram.

i honestly am sorry. I feel as though i have the IQ of a goldfish right now. ill have to get back to you on that, but im sure someone else on this site will have no trouble telling you how to wire a switch up to your lights.

Don't worry man, they're there. There is one next to the words "PCI slots" and one right under the red line going to the RAM slots. It's the rectangular white thing.

Trust me though, they're there. Every mobo has at least 1.

The 3 pin connector on that motherboard is for the CPU fan. There is normally only one.
As for the molex connectors, they are on you power supply. A lot of time the fans come with a double adapter, so to speak, which has a male and female end of the molex connector, with the wiring for the fan coming out the middle, so you can daisy chain a few of them together.

Or, like I did for my case, you crack out the soldering iron and make it work joining your own wires.
Just to give you an idea, my current PC has 13 fans...

as you can see, ive labeled the 3 pin fan connectors that are on that motherboard in red. (and i know.. i did a damn fine job at it too. I LOVE Mspaint) One will be for your cpu, one for your PSU (probably) and the other 3 (that i see off hand. Mind you, there might be more on closer observation) would be for auxiliary and/or circulation.

and.. the molex connection you see on your motherboard is not the one you are looking for. the molex connection you need is going to be coming from your Power supply. That connection you see on your motherboard is just to guarantee your system will get enough power. I don't use mine though, and im fine, so i wouldn't even concern yourself with it.

I like the idea of redundancy involving power...power when you put a molex connector on your motherboard? seriously.... thats like having...2 clowns on top of each other just in case the bottom one falls down.

thats a nice case, lots of room. But I've seen those cases, the "armor" is actually somewhat annoying and get in the way alot. Its also kinda flimsy IMO. Just something to consider. I would personally go with a stacker (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119042 ) and mod it. But if you don't have the time/tools, the armor should be fine.
