View Full Version : SFF Mobo In a Full Tower

Just a thought, take a SFF (small form factor) board and put it in a full size case! This way, you would have much more air flow/space in the case. You could have extra HDD's or CD drives or whatever.

Or, you could use this space to cluster a few boards and have a faster rig. This thread is just for an idea. Comments, Ideas or Flaming is Welcome!

possibly. I haven't dealt with clustering before so i wouldnt know....as for space and stuff....if you dont have enough room for extra cds/hdd in a regular atx case with a atx mobo...then somethings up with that.

I think you mean larger than average ATX case. Most SFF boards aren't all that powerfull. Could be done for something like a file server where you would want a lot of drive space.

At any rate a miniATX or microATX motherboard should fit in any ATX case fine. I think even a miniITX board would fit in one.
