A dual 4 inch red cathode kit, a dual 4 inch blue cathode kit, two sound activation modules, and shipping, comes to like $50. All I wanted to do was make my subwoofer light up with sound sensitivity >_>. Ah well, it's what we must go through. I'm probably going to buy them from FrozenCPU.com, since they it seems to be the only site I can find that has everything I need. Anyone see this stuff around anywhere for a cheaper price?

LED's.
I'm not sure of any LEDs that I can hook into the sound module. That's the main thing here, I want lights that react to the sound. Not only that, but two different sets of lights, that react seperately.

The prices there are higher than what I'm already looking at. And in most places, a 4 inch cathode is the same price as a 12 inch cathode. Would be nice if smaller ones could be cheaper. I can only fit a 4 inch in this, however.

Newegg most certainly does not have everything I listed, and they never have (well, maybe once they did).

They have a single 4" blue, but not the dual one. Damn, looks like I'm going to have to pay $50 then, eh.

Design your own sound module.

I'd love to do tat, and even though I hav no knowledge of creating anything like that, I could learn through this. And if I had unlimited time and money, they I'd put it into this. Also, I may have found a way to get these cathodes.

After reading this article I have been a bit leary of Cathodes...

I did find these.. They are bigger then you need, but unlike a cathode you might be able to mod them into something usable. Unfortunately the price is still about the same.

Good luck!

EDIT: After thinking about it .. Really what you want is called a color organ. Here is a 4 LED Single Color organ kit.
Looks like you will have to assemble it, but it is rated beginner.

I think you could easily figure out how to replace the color of LEDs, and you could run wires from the LEDs to the board if you wanted to mount the them all around the enclosure. PLUS the price is a bit better.

EDIT2::D Here are a few more...

i don't see why you couldn't connect LED's to the sound board thing you are getting. also try ebay they sometimes have good prices.
