ahhh! noob in need of mucho help please!!

ok so last night all i did was swap all my existing hardware into a new case (my 1st ever non standard case) so eveything is in and now the fan on the cpu seems to be giong at some crazy speed and is very loud,

and the next problem is the IDE cables i can get the HDD and dvd drive back on to primarys for some reason they will always come up as fifth and sixth slave or masters ive tried everywhich way with the ide's with no luck , what am i doing wrong?

and help would be brilliant!!

hmm is the cpu fan stil pluggged into the same slot??

as for the ide problem, you can go into bios and manually switch them around in there

thanks for replying guys it was somthing to do with the bios, once i hit the corrent setting the fan went back to its normal speed and windows booted although im not 100% sure of what i actually did but it took me a whole day of switching around ide cables and getting very annoyed. + rep for both of you being the only 2 to reply, thanks again
