What should I do with it?

make a reservoir

I suppose I could use it in part of a reservoir, but I'd want the reservoir itself to be wider.

It reminds me of the end of a lightsaber.... but maybe that's just me.

Some ideas:
Case feet,
multiple resevoirs
sound port tubes for some speakers,
pencil holder,
wire managment. (cut into thin slices with an angled cut to make a key chain ring type object.

Can't think of anything else.

The tube has an outer diameter of 1 1/4" and an interal diameter of 1" with a wall thickness of 1/8".

I have an idea to create a water cooling system and have some parts of it be this solid tube. I'm not sure how I'd make it look though, I just have the general basic idea.

That would make a cool bong...

Wow Cana. You did it again. Leave that **** off these forums.

Theres tons of stuff that you could do with that stuff, you just have to find a need and then fit it into it. Is it extruded or cast acrylic? Cast is much better for machining etc. while extruded is sort of the "budget" acrylic.

No Cana, not good material to use. If it heats up it will create chemicals that are not good for you. Just like PVC. Food quality plastics only.
Besides, read the rules man. Shhhhh.

Some sort of glowing tube of wires is something that comes to mind. LED's and some PSU wires perhaps?
Either that or some part of a WC setup.
Or a video of reenactments of Star Wars fights. ;)

It's extruded. And the extruded already cost enough. No way am I going to pay for 6 feet of cast.

stick a sound activated CCFL inside, and add one of my little 12V smoke generators and you have yourself a StormTubeŽ to mount on the side of a case or inside behind a window ;)

Don't forget a slow fan in front of the smoker generator to make a tornado!

Way to go, cana.

Besides, not only are there chemicals from the plexi, but smoking marijuana is also illegal, so I suggest you leave that kind of talk off of TBCS...

Heh, interesting ideas, nil8.

If I had a bunch of tube like that, well, I'd probably find some way to illuminate it (like crazy bright) then put it somewhere cool.

Maybe cut a quarter off of it, then frost it, then use it for the edges on your case?

Make 6 reservoirs, and some cool lighting effects.

It's not illegal everywhere. Still, it doesn't belong here.

I didn't even think of frosting. What abiout el wire bundled under a foot or two of half circle frosted plex on a keyboard for light? I think that would look awesome.

Maybe he was talking about smoking tobacco through it... :smoker:

I've managed to eliminate 3 inches!

lol I had the same idea a while back...

I'm putting it in a different location, though :p

glad to see you found at least one use for it. :)

I just had an idea. Maybe I could have a tube that runs through my entire case, from the front to the back. Maybe it could have some sort of cooling liquid flow through it. Or maybe it could be some sort of vaccuum system. OR MAYBE! Maybe something that would pull in all the dust and leave the rest of the case clean.

Thats totaly, 100% inaccurate based off the modification i sugjested. Thats all i'm going to say about that. (The Mod's are watching...)

I like crimson's idea. Turn it into a storm tube. However, you'd have to fit it in an appropriately themed case.

Do you have enough to make a pipe organ??? hehehe

Or, you could have fans controlled by music at the bottom of a few tubes (cut it up into 6 or so tube of varying lengths) and have ping pong balls that move up and down with your music.

I have a strange fascination with pipe organs. :devious: I don't know why...

I looked up Stormtube and CCFL. . so the smoke would cause the light from the cold cathode to breakup? O. .. I see A Small ccfl would light more area, maybee?

I should put a sound activator on it too. Then it would flash light lightning.
