There's already a car thread.

That thread is for a particular car (Bugatti Veyron; would've been #11 :p). This is a top 10 list.

I would have to say my Top #1 car would be an early 70's Pontiac GTO, then maybe #2 would be a late 80's-early 90's Camaro or Firebird. #3 is an old style VW Beetle, and #4 an old Benz, #5 would be a VW "hippie" van.

Then again, it'll be a while before I could get my hands on any one of those. However, my Grandfather, before he died, restored 6 cars (5 still in family posession.)

A 1951 Chevrolet truck (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v34/TheBlackPumpkin/51_chevy-01.jpg).
A 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v34/TheBlackPumpkin/chev5301.jpg)
A 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v34/TheBlackPumpkin/Haney54a.jpg)
A 1964 Buick Wildcat (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v34/TheBlackPumpkin/Buick20Wildcat20196420Sunburst20Yel.jpg)
A 1972 Pontiac LeMans (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v34/TheBlackPumpkin/Car01.jpg)
And a 70's Chevy Suburban.

None of those are actual pics of our cars, they're just to give you ideas. (I'll get some real pics up to show I'm not pulling legs, either! )

Since we have those, my parents are not as wanting of me to get my own oldie to restore, they want me to use one of the existing ones more. I think either the Pontiac or the Buick are the best choice for a daily driver, myself... 8)

What's a MX-3? We got the MX-6 over here which was the front wheel drive coupe (which the Ford Probe was built on) and we got the MX-5 (the sexy little rear wheel drive 2 door convertible. I think it was called a Miata in the USA).

chaksq
04-08-2007, 07:46 PM
The Mazda MX-3 is also known as the MX-3 Precida (Canada Only), Autozam AZ-3, and Eunos Presso. It is a small front wheel drive 2-door hatchback that has both four and six cylinder models. It is based on the Mazda 323 chassis. The Mazda KZLE six cylinder turbo engine which was used in the MX-6 can easily be swapped into the six-cylender MX-3.

I'll try to find some pics for you.

I LOVE Rover's!

I used to have a 1970 3500S. Other than the electrical, that car was a blast! It had good acceleration, good handling, looked good and was ok on gas. Mine was exactly like this one, but blue;

Funny, I thought that all Japanese cars look the same as well as all the European ones. In fact I think that with all the aerodynamic body stying, ALL cars are starting to look pretty much the same with very minor variations. I am actually quite bored with most cars that I can afford, looks wise. Automakers worldwide need to come up with something outside the norm.

Well, that's what they did after the figured out that the stock cams wouldn't hold up. Especially under increased boost and some other engine mods.

If I'm not mistaken, the differential in the 300ZX's are also pretty crappy (non-LSD, tend to get messed up at about 350hp). But hey, nothing a Helical LSD can't take care of. ;)
