This would be my very first post here. I have been reading a lot of the forums here on TBCS, and followed quite a few work logs. I really enjoy watching a project come together from begining to end.

Well I am looking to do my own case mods now and was wondering what some of the must have tools are and also a few questions about some of the obvious ones.

The biggest question I am sure you get a lot here is about dremmels. I hear that you should have a flex dremmel tool. What kind of bits should you have and are there speed differences between models and if there is what is the speed I should get?

The first case mod I will be working with acrylic and aluminum I believe. When I do get the first sketches and ideas actually on paper I will let you critic it.

My case was comprised of Acrylic, Aluminium, and Steel. The only tools i really used were the dremel 300 series, a jigsaw, and a set of files. Oh, and a power drill, but you can always use the dremel; it just won't be as fast. A good dremel starter kit will have most of the parts you need. :)

Sorry to thread jack but what kind of cut wheels should I use on my dremel for cutting aluminum, steel, and plexi? And how many should I expect to go through?
