okay, im new here, so i guess i should start things off with my first mod.

im taking a thermaltake xaser 2 case. and im going to be making it into a nice metal/rusted case with foilage growing on it along with some small ships that have been crash landed on it, been there for a while and just kinda starting to grow into the metal itself.

ive never done anything like this before, everyones gotta start somewhere :P

lets get started.

i decided to add some red leds to the spire things towards the top to add to it, hoping to get a nice red glow downward on all the front....

so far so good, picking up some more colors to add more detail to the painting. hoping to get started on the sides soon

yeah, i havent got them wired up yet, im waiting for my order from newegg to come in, its got all the new wires and connectors for those

alright, i need some help.

for some reason I cant get the front 4 leds on the ship to light up....

if im not mistaken, the yellow wires from a 4 pin molex connector are 12v right?

so if i wire all 4 leds onto the same wire i would need a 220ohm resistor?

but for some reason its not working.

anyone know of a better way to run the leds or something? i kind of want to get the leds for the ship its own power supply instead of running from the actual power supply of the computer.

what would be the best way to execute this?

it all depends on how you wire the LEDs, wether you wire them in parralel or in series, this should help, http://metku.net/index.html?path=mods/ledcalc/index_eng

Im not a fan of mods that change the look of the case like this...but that front panel looks sweet so far.
