It occurred to me I was looking in the wrong place for stuff to use in my case mod. I have gone to Home Depot and Radio Shack and the local hobby shop. I decided alot of the stuff they had to offer as far as peices to incorporate into my Mod just were not what I was looking for. Not to mention the price was not to my likeing. :)

I was cleaning up my room and realized the stuff I was throwing in the garbage was exactly what I needed.

Many Examples of what you can Salvage from TRASH:

Blown PC Speakers: Mesh Grill, Formed Plastic, Feet, Control Knobs, Ect. In my case perfect housing for a PC Fan.
Broken Desk Lamp: Adjustable Metal Hose, Cool Switches, Mesh, Ect.
Blown Surround Sound: Cones, Feet, Ect.
Lost Cordless Phone Base: Great place for a Temp Display.
Dollar Store Plastic Space Heater: Air Damn, Mesh, Control Knob, So On. .
Dinosaur Bone: Maybee for another MOD :D
CD Jewel Cases: Great Dremel Practice, Patterns, Fan Gaurds.
And So on and So Forth.

The Point Being you dont have to buy all new stuff.
Ooop. Just spotted some nice plastic cones on my track light. LOL.
Obviously alot of the stuff wont work off a PC power supply to my knowledge.
Going to have to work with what I know.

I know this is common since to alot of you.

I just realized it myself after looking at PedroFilho's Mod Again.

Figured it would help some of you out.

You will see a Work Log from me as soon as I've decided on a Theme, and
Complete practice working with the different materials, and such.

Post some Treasure you were about to Trash!

Just check my project: Highrise. The case literally has "Trash" written all over it. I almost threw it out a few times. I might actually update that log soon.

Also dont forget car stuff. Most of that is 12 volt so it will run off of a computer power supply.
