X-Blade fan installation

Hi guys,

Please go easy, my first post here :) also i hope this is the right sector (apologies if it is not)

I have got an X-Blade case (not deluxe) all HDD go in through a front door on the front panel, hopefully you know the one i mean.
I need to replace a few bits and bobs, but my specific request here is how to go about changing the front 80mm fan to a 120mm one.

I know this sounds stupid, but it looks like this screws in from the front, yet i can not get the black panel of the front of the case off.

Could someone please let me know how this is removed without breaking the panel completely???

i can not see how the front panel is attached with the side window panel removed you can not see it's attached to anything with screws.

On older X-Blade case you could pull the front off, i'm just worried that this design is newer and might break as it's not designed the same. i'm looking for someone with knowledge of this case to be able to say how the got theirs off if that makes sense.

Just a guess but in the pix it looks like there might be a latch release button on the the lower front right side on the inside of the case. You might want to look at that. I've had a case that was similar but the release button was in the same spot but on the outside of the case.

I can not recall seeing a latch there, but you maybe correct :)

These might be screws holding the front on. There are probably 2 on the other side if these are the screws holding the front on.

If they are not screws but a hole with black plastic in and the black plastic is the front panel is this something that can just be 'pushed' through?

my case just has plastic tabs in the front that pop out. You can get to them by taking off both side covers.

well had a look again, what threw me was the first place i looked to find the screw DID not have it - the other 3 positions did.

Removed the front in a jiffy, and it took 5 min to swap over the fans from 80mm to 120mm now much better.

Also did a PSU swap in the same 5 minutes :)
