While working at the project I didn’t pursue an object to make the FAN better to use. I only wanted to make it more beautiful and original. :D

Verrry Nice. Gives me an Idea. Maybee I should separate the things I plan to incorporate in my mod into different small projects. Instead of having stuff all over the place, and wondering what to do next.

Here's a quickie I did for Adminizsk8r before he was banned:

But just for you I grabbed a spare 120mm case fan and made a quick photo tutorial:

Step one: A case fan.

Step two: Remove sticker.

Step three: Get a small jewelers screwdriver and carefully prise it off by working your way around. Careful not to snap it.

Here is the washer off the fan:

Step five: pull fan off:

Put it back together the opposite way.

Also, here's a MS Paint picture of the shaft and split washer:

Is the washer spinning?

That will sometimes happen. What you need to do is pull the fan outwards, so the washer is against the back of the motor. That little bit of friction can be enough to get the screwdriver into the gap of the split washer and then start to work your way around it.

that's why I said you need the smallest jewelers screwdriver you can find. Also, try a pin if you don't have the screwdriver.

Looks great. Just a couple of questions.

1. Is the fan plastic or metal. It look like aluminium but i guess you could have painted it. If it is metal how does it compare to a plastic fan? It seems like it would require extra power to spin as fast as a lighter plastic fan.

2. Did reshaping the fan blades affect the airflow at all? If so, did it help or hinder the flow.

Anyway, looks great I'm very impressed. +rep.
