I caused a short. It shutdown my computer, but didn't damage anything. But now I'm trying to take the molex plug out of what shorted, and I can't get it out? is it possible that maybe the electricity caused some damage to the molex and sort of welded it to the device?

If there was a short, it would cause a lot of electricity flow through a place that wasn't designed for it most likely... So yes... Its possible... I've never seen it myself in a PC... But I have in other things such as car stereos...

Maybe there was some resistance which created heat and caused the plastic molex plug to to melt slightly and expand causing it to get stuck maybe?

Also true... And also something I've seen in car stereos... When a 160 amp fuse melts... Something has gone very wrong... LoL
