O yes it will be Mine.

Ive been looking around here lately and noticed the lcd tvs have monitor connections on the back.
One thing is for sure. For gaming there is a such thing as a monitor that is to big.
If this continues the way it is it won't be carpel-tunnel people are complaining about it will be neck injury's.

I have the 20" Ben-Q Widescreen Now. Should have Saved for this Mammoth.

Here is the front view. . My mouth is waterin' :lick: :D

im using a 22" and i almost feel like its too big, your eyes just cant examine all that in detail for sniping at the same time

Well you could always back away from it, but that kinda defeats the purpose.

After getting that CRT off my desktop Ive noticed my eyes don't hurt anymore.
And everything is much easier to read even at 1440x900.
Doing wonders for my posture, and eliminating alot of back pain from hunching over.
My first LCD Display apart from laptops.

I've just (half an hour ago) got the samsung syncmaster 225BW 22" widescreen monitor. It's NUTS!

Ever so often I hook my rig up to my 48" samsung HD TV but the resolution is only 1024x768. That's the problem with TVs which can handle being monitors - they are rarely high enough resolution to be realy impressive. (although, bf2142 on a 48" screen IS nice ;)

For me, 20" is a good medium. I looked at 22" ones, but the ones I found didn't have 5ms response times; more like 8ms.

Im using a lg 26" hd telly in my room what is on my rig.. i sit about 4 - 6 foot away and its great.. i dont have any problems and its a great show off piece :D

i find with a bigger screen things become more noticable like an annoying friend who likes to be sniper.. his head isent a pee now its more like a 10p coin :P

but as others said before look at the res and all the other stuffs before committing to a tv as a monitor.. it can go horribly wrong

Dell have just released the second variation of the 30", apparently fixing all but one issue with the original (the fact that it only has one DVI-in).

I've got my eye on it at the moment. Neck injury shmeck injury. I'll be the guy with the 30" monitor and you can be the guys who can look up and down. :p I'm cool with that!

I just just purchased a couple of LG 22" wide screen LCD's. They will be replacing a 21" sgi crt and a 24" superwide sgi crt.

I looked around for quite some time before going with the LG's and before deciding on the 22" wide monitor. It seems to be that the LG has exactly the same specs as a similar Samsung model, but the bezel is less than half the size and it is flat black. The 22" wide screen is less than 1/2" smaller than my 24" super wide (actual screen size top to bottom, side to side), less than 1/4 of the weight and will open up room on my desk. I will post a more detailed review later.

I did look at the 24" models but they were the same price that I got 2 of the 22"'ers for, and I was not impressed with them. Perhaps if I had a chance to play with the big monitors first I may have changed my mind. But since I had to replace 2 monitors, I feel i made the right choice...

Didn't you guys hear? 24" is the new 22" (http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/11/samsung-sez-24-is-the-new-22-inch-lcd-for-vista/). The HD era at its start. 8)

Too bad the Dell 30" doesn't have a TV tuner too. That'd be sweet! ;)

EDIT: WTF? The 32" TV one (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&sku=222-4377&redirect=1) is only 1366 x 768 and $1100? That better be one good TV tuner for that price!

Yeah I looked at 24"er's, but I got 2 22" panels for less than I would have paid for a 24" one and my video card won't lag pushing the bits to it (X850XT). PLUS the 22" LG I got is less than 1/2" smaller than my 24" superwide.

I have a friend that got a 32" model with a tuner and I have to sit back a bit from that monitor to get a good view of it. Almost too big for me and I would never be able to appreciate it in my office.

Has anyone seen/used/owned Sharp's dual-view lcd?
Note, that is a mirror to the left of the LCD.

I read something about that monitor before.. doesnt the picture you see depend on the viewing angle? Or was it really a hoax?

I don't know if it is a joke. But it would be retarded if it was because I first saw it in an issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (May 2007)...

That samsung dual-view monitor is actualy a pretty damn awesome invention.

Imagine having a monitor in the center console of a car; from the driver's angle it shows GPS, and on the passenger's side it shows DVDs!

Realy clever technology!

I'm now saving up for another 22" samsung 225BW to go next to the one I already have hah!

If anyone in the uk wants an LG 19" TFT 4:3 flatscreen monitor for £100 (free p&p to you TBCS members!) then give me a shout!
It's in perfect condition.
