xbox inside pc case?

anybody seen either a 360 or old xbox inside a computer case? i wouldnt mind having an xbox inside the office's computer case.

btw i have seen itx mobos inside old xbox cases....but not the other way around

Can't say I've ever seen it, but I don't know why it wouldn't be possible. It is PC components after all, and I feel it would make an interesting mod. Good luck with it.

Yes that would be a neat mod. I know you are talking about just the xbox but if you combined the xbox and pc into the same mod so they network with eachother from the same box that would be insane.

ooooh nope, i'm talking about the xbox being with the pc inside the case. now, i know the 360 can network with the pc but how about the old xbox?

The only way you can network a PC with an original XBox, it's by using a modchip and custom dashboard, so you'll be able to use FTP softwares to access your XBox hard disk.

You could still do it that way and host a game server under Linux from your XBox. Ive seen a place on Internet explaining how to host a CS server from Linux on an XBox. :)

i doubt i'll find a cheapo 360 so i'll just put an old xbox inside a pc. 8) to disguise it 8) i'm gonna just use a kvm to switch from pc to xbox 8) how am i going to hide the wired crontroller from the boss, that i dont know. just yet.

Unless you have a massive PC case, you are going to run into heat issues. And space issues for that matter. There was a mod around here somewhere with a PS2 and a PC in one case, and there was a lot of the same issues going on. Considering the size of an Xbox, that would be like trying to fit a normal ATX and a M-ATX computer in one case. I wish the best of luck though.

This mod has been done before, but I believe it was discontinued (there haven't been new posts on it for months). If you have a tall case, you can perform this mod. The Xbox motherboard is slightly smaller than a MicroATX, so making an external power supply to power the PC might just do the trick (scoot everything in, PSU outside the case).
