View Full Version : Anyone have a ColdHeat soldering iron?

I don't think I know how to use to right. I can't get the solder to melt with it. So, uh, anyone have any experience with it? Perhaps you could describe the proper way to use it.

yeah the solder has to connect with both sides of the inside of the tip need an illustration?

Cold Heat is useless for soldering small stuff; I tried it, and the tipsare fragile as hell. Best off with a radioshack solderer.

Get a cheap soldering iron for $20 for the electrostatically insensitive (NOT sensitive) parts of whatever you are soldering. For electrostatically sensitive parts, you might need something more expensive.
