Hi guys ive just fitted a watercooling kit to my pc tripple rad and it only goes to cpu.
My cpu is a pentium D 805 2.66ghz clocked to 3.1ghz. at idle its around 29c-32c at load goes to around 41c.
is this normal or should my temps be lower please help how i could lower the temps
Your idle temp should be a couple of degrees above the ambient temp of the room.
You have to give us more info. What size tubing, what did you fill the loop with, does your rad have fans or is it passive cooling?
A link to the kit you bought would be useful.

My kit (http://www2.asetek.com/main/page.asp?sideid=694)
i have 3 120mm fans on the rad and 2 on case to exaust the air
as i said im only using the cpu block with 10mm pipes
im using apha cool tec-protect-UV blue water
my case (http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/product.php?productid=3341&cat=17&page=1#tabs) incase you wanted to know this too ;)

Just to make sure we have all the basics covered, did you clean all the old heat sink paste or pad off the CPU and then used new paste when fitting the CPU cooling block?

yeah made sure all paste was off. made it look new

No probs, just checking. And by that comment I'll assume you used new paste on assembly.
The next question is where are the radiators mounted? Are they getting good air flow and aren't restricted?

yeah used new paste. the radiator is at top of case so no air flow restriction

Your idle temp should be a couple of degrees above the ambient temp of the room.
This is a good point to remember... If the air around isn't cool, the liquid cooling can't get any cooler... Its a problem I run into a bit thanks to the oh so great climate of Iraq...

aparantly outside its 18c.
when i play games i put the fans onto 100% keeps it around 36-40c
but at idle now i turn them down to 20% due to noise at night
before when i was on stock hsf my temp at load was around 50c

Sounds like you don't have any fans as intakes. That may decrease the efficiency of the cooling in your PC.

Unless your PC is outside, then that temperature doesn't help us. What is the average room tempurature where you have your PC?
Also, how much did you increase the voltage when you overclocked your CPU?

tripple rad
Now thats origonal! :D
I suppose I shouldn't post the temps of my Asus stack 2 cool with the stock cpu fan, huh?
Just giving you a hard time. What kit did you get?

i have one of the case fans sucking in air one blowing it out. my rooms only around 20c as i have doors an windows open. i couldnt increase the voltage with my motherboard wich is why i have only managed around a clock stable up too 3.4ghz but i lowerd the clock installing water till the thermal paste has settled in
:Edit: motherboard is asrock 775Dual-880Pro (http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=775Dual-880Pro&s=775)
