the 8600GTS (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=8600gts&x=0&y=0) just came out, and they run about 200 bucks. Not quiet as beefy as their older sibling, the 8800GTX, but if you put a pair of those on your board youll be sitting pretty for a while. plus, with the 8x00 series you have DX10 compatible hardware for when they actually make DX10 games.

Canadian Eh?

why go dual graphics? you want to spend 400 bucks on 2 cards, and the only benefit you will get out of it, is sayin you have "sli". because, technically, what you are asking for, is pretty much a waste of money.

BUY 1 $400 Dollar card, Never 2 $200 cards. You will get better performance out of 1 $400 dollar card than 2 cheaper, slower cards, and still have room to upgrade. plus 1 card sucks less power and produces less heat than 2.

think about this for a second. Lets say you wanted to buy 2 8600 gt's. as opposed to a 8800 gts, the 8600's have a 128 bit interface, which cripples them. If you dont really know what it means, ill make it simple. 128 bit is slow. a 8800 gts has 320 bit interface, making it a heck of a lot faster.

i dont want go too nuts on all the details. Any wise advice anyone on this site will hopefully give you is what i have already said.

just trust me....dont spend it on 2 cards. you wont get the performance that you could. The ONLY one cool thing you will get buyin to cheaper cards, is being able to tell people you have sli.

btw, nice choice on motherboard. If i were to choose one, that would be it for me too
