I played with one in a store, but didn't really have time to dork with all the settings or program any keys. I could see that device being a replacement for the left hand keyboard. Since all the keys (even the directional pad) are customizable, I bet it would work well in editing programs. For the cost I say it would be worth it.

I am a huge fan of all the different input devices on the market, and specifically for 3d work. I have plenty of sources too...

For photoshop and nongaming application, they have mice especially made, with several buttons all the way around. I don't think the keypad would do for photoshop. I like using a regular old Logitec optical mouse (USB).

yeah or there's a new mouse type thing thats basically a ball held up by 4 arms that sense the movement of the ball so it makes it much easier to edit models and such

For photoshop and nongaming application, try the puck mouse.

Yeah, kinda like that. But the one I'm thinking of might've had a trackball.

well being that i just got one, i would recommend a logitech g15.
but me thinks your looking for a small input device.
