Does anyone know of a really good cooler, better than the arctic freezer 7 pro? for under what ever the price of that is on newegg which is i think 60, i need to replace mine and i oc and ga,e so i need some serious cooling. i have a arctic freezer 7 pro but the fan broke so i glued it back on and now temps arent all that great, ive hit 58 before while barely oc';d

ive used a thermalright ultra 120. It pretty much kicks A$$. still one of the best out there.

other than that, id suggest looking into a coolermaster Gemin II. Its huge, (2 120mm fans side by side) but....cools everything around it. ram temps drop dramatically, and my passive heatpipes went down by 7C. Keeps an overclocked e6400 at 3.2ghz (from 2.14) at idle temp of around 32-35ish, and full load never higher than 47 far as ive seen.

yeah i was thinking on getting the silver knight, but i noticed, 939g, isnt that dangerous to the mobo, or does it have back of mobo mounts. and is it loud? couldnt find db specs, like if its below 30 db then im fine, i got a lot of fans big and small but all under 30 and like to keep it that way. btw how's that cool?

@ the gemini and 120, i was thinking about the 120 but i beleive that its more efficent to have 20 well cooled fans that are close to the cpu copper block than 200 far away, just because of heat transfer rate. like my freezer 7 pro has had its fins at room temp before almost cooler than room and the cpu was at 47 load, not bad but not good well for me at least.

thx for all the help othersuggestions/ added info is much appreciated

I really don't want to piss on anyone's parade but all the reviews i've read said the silver night was worse than the stock HSF.

i too have seen this, the freezer pro is the way to go, the only thing as good or close to is the Termalright HR-01 (AKA, ultra 120)
http://www.thermalright.com/default.htm

the only drawback is you need to add your own 120MM fan, the bonus is, one ush, one pull, GREAT heat transfur.
