Desert Camo

Anyone know where I can get a good tutorial on painting desert camo? Ive googled but Im not having much luck.

(Maybe that should be commandos next project :D )

What type of Desert Camo?

For us that wear the tree suit or the shrub suit to work, there are a couple of different kinds of desert camo. These are the hip slang terms for these by the way.

Desert Digi

I was interested in chocolate chip. I did try it out but it is quite hard with cans. Thanks again commando.

No way, don't get discouraged. I figured out a way you can do it with spray paint.

The problem with spray paint is that the overspray is huge. Ok, just eliminate the overspray problem by just using stencils for each color, including the black.

I put together a simple graphic of how to do this. Stencil 3 and 4 are self explanatory and should be easy.

Cut out stencil 1 first and then place it over a blank stencil and color the edges of the white chips. This will give you a perfectly lined up stencil of the small black parts for the white chips, stencil 2. Now just cut out stencil 2 and your ready to paint each color separately and they will line up.

Oh yeah, even if it is off a little, who cares? It's camo, no one will notice.
