Crikey. That's not a good question to ask dude. :) You're likely to be lambasted with fanboy replies.

Actually, i think the best card for £150 at the moment is this one. (http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=4D6N&CategorySelectedId=11137&PageMode=1&NavigationKey=11137,4294956286,43990000,41590000)

I am gonna have to second Dave's recommendation at that price point the X1950 Pro offers the best power to price performance ratio.

Plus it's got the 512MB RAM and it's a Sapphire card, so the build quality will be pretty good.

Sure it has good specs, but it's not exactly futureproof.

Firstly, we need to know whether your motherboard supports PCI-E or AGP.

Find that out and get back to us!

first of all, dont waste your money buying from ebay. 98% of the time, computer components (decent new ones anyway) go for more than at most stores. i have yet to see a video card cheaper on ebay than what i buy it for from an online store. and then all the expensive shipping on top of it yet.

well for $335 bucks CAD, you can get a 8800gts with 320mb ram. im thinking that would be a bit of a futureproofed step up, and performance is quite a step up. Plus you can overclock the crap outta the 8800, and get even better fps.

why buy an older card with less performance than a newer one with better.??

but i dont know where you can get one in GB of course either. and i dont know what the prices there are like compared to here.

Just please take into consideration that ati has flaky drivers. so.. if you have a bit of patience to find the right ones that work ALL THE TIME, and not just some of the time, then go for it.

Uh no. This hasn't been the case in over 3 years. ATI has this horrible rep of having crap drivers. Their entire driver dev team was fired after a large amount of problems kept coming up with their catalyst series.

Any ATI driver developed in the last couple of years will not let you down or cause more issues than nVidia drivers will.
