I watch it almost very day after work. My son is about 1.5 years old and he always does a little dance when he hears the theme music to the show. I think the show is pretty good but a little dry sometimes.

Yeah, Discovery channel has improved their shows a lot in the last couple of years or at least they started airing shows that interest me. I have to say that the Discovery channel is probably my favorite channel.

yeah, they have gotten better. How its Made is great, mythbusters is amazing, watch it almost everyday, and dirty jobs is a great concept and is an amazing show. I really hope they keep up their trend of good shows.

Can't forget about Future Weapons either. I just don't like the way the host talks though.

yes, he's very annoying, the gunny is the best weapons type show on the history channel, mail call. but that show is cool to watch, they've been airing it alot before lunchtime too I've noticed, cool concept.

also, survivor man is a pretty good show but I don't like that British guy, he's too annoying and has his own camera crew. the survivor man guy is the best for that reason IMO, he has to carry his camera's around everywhere

DVR list:
Heroes
Mythbusters
How It's Made
Mail Call
Survivor Man
Man Vs Wild
Future Weapons

If I'm not watching Discovery Channel, History Channel, or Food Network, I'm probably not watching TV.

The Discovery Channel pwns, but what would pwn more is if we had something more than an antenna on the roof that spins around when the wind blows, and lemme tell ya, the wind can not tune that thing worth a damn... PBS is pretty good though, when you're not watching that crap they call "children's programming," that is, lol.

Discovery has really ratcheted up their shows and documentaries.
Lots of good stuff, including them teaming up with BBC for Expedition Borneo & Planet Earth.
Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, Survivorman, How Its Made, To Catch a Thief, and so on.

Discovery has to be the best channel on television ever. Especially Discovery HD. Like WOW. If you don't have Discovery HD, see if any of your friends do. It is awesome.

Btw, I watch "How Its Made" almost everyday. That is a fantastic show!

ya i watch how its made sometimes. the only thing i dont like is the fact that its mostly reruns whenever i see it on. that and the narrator... the whole production is from quebec, so you have to listen to bad pronunciation all the time.

ill take my daily show and colbert report though, thank you very much.

My favorite has to be Man vs Wild. That dude is nuts, he jumps into icewater, eats raw snakes, and drinks the water from elephant dung..

I don't get the Science Channel, but I used to. I used to watch National Geographic, Science Channel and Discovery and not much else.

If you like Man vs Wild, try Survivorman. Les Stroud is nuts.

I thought the science channel was the discovery channel.

It's actually "Discovery Science"... its owned by the Discovery channel. Theres a few that are all in the same group, owned by Discovery... Discovery, Discovery Health, Discovery Science, Discovery Times, National Geographic, The Military Channel... etc.

I have HD sky (that's High definition sattellite for you yanks! ;))
and discoveryHD has started to show mythbusters in HD! I've only caught it a few times but it rocks hard! The only problem is that the watermarked logo on discoveryHD is HUGE. It ruins the composition of some of the HD nature photography and stuff.

NatGeoHD is better in my opinion! ;)
