What do you guys do for easy money? I've been trying to think of some ways to get some quick spending money.

I go around and ask my friends or spoiled kids for their broken ipods and either fix them or just sell them on ebay. Easiest profit ever since I usually get them for free and sell them for at least $50 broken, $100+ fixed.

Lately I've been using CashCrate. Its east as hell, just sign up and do their survey things then they send you a check at the end of the month. Last month I made $42 and now I'm almost at $100. Easiest thing in the world but it sucks that they dont pay you until next month. If your gonna do it sign up under my ref link http://www.cashcrate.com/index.php?ref=183321

So yeah, post your money making ideas. Besides getting a job. Work sucks.

ps. Some TFers might recognize this haha

No but seriously, I have a great idea for you to make money.

Stop being a lazy bum who lives in his parents basement and get a job. While your at it, get a girlfriend too.

lol I'm just playing with you man.

I would say your best bet is doing chores for people. Nobody likes doing chores! Heck, if you live close enough, I'll pay you to do mine. :P

Another Kaaaahliiiiifornian, eh?

And only 50mi or so south of me.

=D

Anywho...

Do chores for people in your area. Fix things. Sell your skills. It'll be like having a job, without the tax, formality, etc. The bad part is that your payment is pretty much based on you trusting the person to actually pay you (most of the time they do).

There is no such thing as easy money. Suck it up and get a job. A steady income beats a broken income any day of the week.

Just imagine how much money you'd have if you were gettin a phat cheque every couple weeks. You'll have to get one sooner or later, might aswell get one now.

P.S. when i was younger, the kids with jobs were like gods :)

Yeah try and get a job Takeaway stores are ok especially if you can be a deliviery driver as they get tips. Also if a restaurant will take you you can make some okay money waiting on tables and plus you can get tips. The good thing about working at places like this is you get free food and a pay check.

Also you could get a job as a receiving clerk all though you may be a bit young. You may have to wait till your 16 and more options will open up for you.

EBAY!

Actually I'm serious. I just set up an account (just turned 18), and now I'm gonna look for broken LCD's. Most LCD's die when their backlight goes out, and most people just toss them or sell them and get a new one. Little do they know the back light is simple a white Cold Cathode:P. So replace that and good as new. Buy them for about $30 and sell for $100.

1. No this isn't spam

2. This is a thread for easy cash for quick spending, not to support a family

3. I was never under the implication that you could sell blood, becuase poor people would come in and lie and say they didn't have diseases to make money.

They test your blood to make sure you don't have any diseases.

Skin donations? I'm sorry, but I laughed when I read that. I'm not saying it's a bad idea or anything, but just the thought of someone walking in a place and saying, "Hi, I'm here to sell my skin" just makes me laugh.

I can't imagine it feels too good either. Can't you donate fat from your... well, ass?

Anyways, come on I know you guys have some legit quick cash ideas. Besides scamming/stealing.

I rob banks. It's the easiest money I ever made. Easily $30,000 a heist, that is enough walking around money for a year.

Seriously though, easy money is having a garage sale, you can get rid of your old junk and make room for the new garbage you will buy.

Babysitting is a good one if you like kids. I babysit four kids every now and then. They are CRAZY but it is all fun. I just try not to fight it. They will be loud and they will make a huge mess. I just let it happen and then make them clean up before bed. After I put them to sleep, I get paid for three hours of sleeping on the couch. If that isn't easy money then I don't know what is.

I have a friend who gets paid to babysit after the kids have already been put to bed. She watches TV for an hour or two then sleeps the rest of the night and gets paid for it.

Basically. She doesn't do it often, though, as the parents don't need it often. Her normal job is part-time as a cashier at Target. =/

Mow lawns. Sounds lame, is lame but is money :p . Mum knows these old people $20 for 40mins of work and they supply everything. But i only get it once every like 2 months now because of the drought in Australia.

BTW i like that ebay trick sounds fun buying stuff for crap all, fixing it then selling it for more, If only i was old enough for an account.

Cheers

Haha GT40!

*Job interview*

Interviewer - "So, what have your past jobs been, and why did you leave?"

Interviewee - "My first job was at Best Buy, and then I left to be a hitman, but it's getting hard to find work these days..."

Interviewer - "...Ok, so, um, that was a great interview, we'll call if we have any openings, BYE!."

Interviewee - "Should I get your name so I know when you call?"

Interviewer - "NO! I mean, um, it's probably better for both of us if you don't know my name..."

my trick isn't to make easy money... i just don't spend it! which may actually defeat the purpose of having the money in the first place. but in the end you find that you have more =P but really, if you save here and there, like buying cheaper brands for your everyday stuff like food, you'll end up saving up a lot in the long run.

yeah, babysitting gets you quick cash, just to watch TV with little kids.

or you could just get a job. that works too.

You know what I do? If your parents work somewhere with lots of people that they talk to, have them tell everyone about your skills/services. My mom works at a hospital and she's told everyone about my computer skills. Now I get jobs fixing/setting up computers once or sometimes twice a week that pay really good (usually approximately 20/hour)

You're going to regret that in a year's time. When hard drives start failing, when idiots who don't defrag or delete old files, people who run .exe's that come from e-mails, etc. send their computer over a year after you installed a stick of RAM and try to say you have a responsibility to fix it.

Sigh...I only do this for friends and family, and even then I tell them that i'm not responsible for the computer as soon as I leave.

I've learned to stay away from people like that over the years. I started my own business doing computer repair for people here and there.. pays pretty good actually. I charge $50/hr for new customers, and then $75/hr after that. Right now I've got 2 really good clients (businesses) who keep me pretty busy away from my daytime job.

I think the best advice I could give regarding computer repair is "DONT SELL HARDWARE." I'll refer them to vendors that I know and trust, but I wont go buy stuff for them, or sell them stuff. That way, I'm only on the hook for installation.. if the part dies, it's the vendor who needs to cover warranty... and I make sure they understand this up front.

I get payed $20 fortnight from my parents straight up and about $50 in my bank but when i need cash i fix peoples ipods. Most of them just currupt them or delete the firmware ( Brick them ) i charge about $10 an ipod because the shops charge like $50 and its only a simple thing. But i always tell them there is no guarantee it will work and if it doesn't they get there money back. But thats only as soon as i give it to them. After they have taken it No money back.

I work on peoples cars, ummm, i fix computers.

BUT! Easy money....Consulting. I'm not bashing what they do or anything, but essentially your just telling people what needs to be done.

It's contract work though.

Become a Texas Hold'Em poker pro, read up on every book, play every night and eat, sleep, crap poker for 1-2 months. Maybe, just maybe you'd set yourself up for an easy easy life. Just think, make 100-200 a day, thats $500-1000 dollars a week on internet poker :) Not counting the big tournaments that they hold at casino's, you can make a good living off of it..

and it's a fun game too.

..or you could grow some dreads, look greasy, and sit on the corner with a hat, asking for change.

Seriously.. those damn hippies in Tofino live like that.. and every, I mean EVERY business in town has "Help Wanted" signs up.

I mean, I know that "work cuts into surfing time" (wah, wah) but come on.

I agree. And I genuinely hate working on other people's computers. They'll do stupid things like having 20 different things running in the system tray and wonder why the machine doesn't work that well.

Fast food is always an option, but don't go the real sheezy fast food such as burgers, go somewhere like me, KFC, etc. There's a little bit higher quality, and usually better staff, but you can never tell... make sure you "scope" the place out or get recommendations from friends, etc. before you apply and start working there. Sure I bust my ass off, but it's *almost* a good paying job, now just double the wages and I'm set! lol But seriously, off to college with me!

...and wtf thehilitereel? What pink bunny? lol :D

Oh, and not to hijack, but does anybody know anything about working for the LEGO Company? I make some cool stuff and would almost get a job there if it's reasonable (pay, hours, people, deadlines, etc.), or do they just want you to make crap like whatever that anime-mech **** is? If so, I'll start my own line of LEGOs, lol (not likely to happen, lol).
