Is there a way to parallel two computers together without the use of LAN cables? I was wondering if two different computers could process threads simultaneously on two different motherboards.

I guess wirelessly maybe. I'm not an expert on this and I am not completely sure what you are asking either.
He's asking about clusters.
Airbozo is currently working on a cluster tutorial.

Without the use of LAN cables (because they aren't truely what I mean). I'm talking about parallel processing, similar to the technology used in AGP fast writes, but to and from other PCs via a high speed cable (at least 1.5 GB/sec).

You could use Myranet or Infiniband, but that is just a high speed interface similar to a NIC.
And yes, I should have more on the cluster tutorial this week...

What's the reason a LAN cable won't work?
Anyways, I think you could use FireWire to network them together, it should be fast enough; as d_ said, I'm not an expert at this either.

Hey Prog, is this what you are talking about?
