Rather than hijack another thread further, I thought I'd start a new one.

How many of you have modded you body in some way or another?

I have a few tattoo's and some ear plugs.

My ear plugs look like this:

I stretched them out to that size myself over a period of time.
And speaking of BiC lighters, I designed this tattoo to go around a hole in my leg where my shin bone popped out to say hi after a bike accident:

I have a tattoo of Ned Kelly (a Famous Australian Bushranger), however he has been beefed up a little and has Motocross boots on. It's hard to take good a picture of your upper arm yourself though.

I'm packing 5 tattoos right now.. both upper arms (Angel with spread wings and sword on my left, virgin mary on my right), backs of both calves (Maple leaf on my right, Soviet Hammer and Sickle on the left), and the front of my left shin (another angel, tribal/anime style).

I can post pics if you'd like.

I'm not a big fan of piercings (on me), but I have tried them. I pierced my own lip with a needle and pliers (yes, sanitized), but was unable to get the ring through on my own, so I gave up.

I'm not a big fan of tons of piercings in general, but there are plenty that look good. Ear plugs look cool, but I dont think so on women.. nose studs look good on women, and ears of course. I have a friend with his eyebrow, and it suits him, but I always wonder why some people have 10+ piercings. Again, not for me. :)

i used to have 1.5inch tunnels in my ears... but then came to the conclusion that if i ever want a job they got to go...... now i just have rly saggy ear lobes lolz

well my frenid periced my cartlidge didnt hurt the frist time then he did it with a blunt stud that hurt the ****er :p.

and i wanna get some more epricngs but i cant deiced what was thinking of my nipple, and when i get my braces off gonan get my lip periced and then proubly get a spider bite (two pericings close to gether for those that dont know)

and whne im older will proubly get some tats

2 ear piercings inb the same ear (like Minty, not used but cleaned out regular), tongue piercing and 3 tats (angel on right arm, scorpion on left shoulder and an ill advised ganja leaf on my chest - left as a reminder that youth can lead you to do some stupid ****).

It's not legal here in WI to get it done before 18, so I'm waiting until I'm 16 and then I'll take a road trip to a nearby state that does allow it (someone told me MN?) I'll get one one the underside of one of my forearms probably. I haven't decided what to get though.

I did this one on forearm myself, with 12wrap coils and Skin Candy Ink.
I had the rest of the tail wrapped around my arm at a shop.

the chips i got while mountain biking, and the biggest on is on my right tibia, damn encounter with a sharp rock

the metal bits are from various things gone wrong like home made rockets, a ball bearing ball, a few millimeters of wheel spoke and so on...

You could go to the upper peninsula of Michigan. I got my first one last year(i was 16) at a place in Escanaba, MI, called Ink Supremacy. Actually I may be getting another one done there around the 4th of July weekend, since we go to Door county every 4th.

And to honor all my living "brothers and sisters" that have a bleeding disorder. And yes i did say bleeding disorder im a walking oxymoron a hemophiliac with tattoos.

My right arm was my first tattoo which I got about 12 years ago. My right arm was about a year later, and my back I got done around 2001. I'd like to get more but I know the time isn't right just yet.

To all you Bod Mod experts, what does a good sized, color tattoo run? Say, 8-12". What's something like that going to cost me?

It depends if it's out of a book of predrawn ones, or if they are doing something custom.
Most places around here have set prices for stuff out of the book and prices by the hour for custom work.
I would expect you would probably pay in the region of $200-$300.

Level of difficulty or body placement can play a role in price as well.
Big difference in the amount of work needed between 12 inches of text and a portrait or some intricate design.

Some artists are better at certain things than others. Check out their previous work and see if you like their style.
