Dell Battery Recall

Well this explains my poor battery performance. I also qualify after I typed in my battery info. But my situation right now is that I can't pay for any charges that they might or might not make. I tried looking through their policies and all that jazz but I couldn't find anything on yes we will charge you for this or no we will not charge you for this recall.

Can anyone help? I just need to know if they will charge me for something or not. Whether its S&H or its for the new battery or just whatever.

Didn't they have this problem last year? They recalled a heap of Dell laptops and batteries, because all the batteries were exploding.

I don't think they charge you for it.

We (place I work) actually have 16 Dell laptops... not ONE of them was recalled. How's that for luck?

That does suck though..

I actually had my Compaq laptop (which is now in pieces) start goin crazy like that.. battery was crap, etc. Got a new battery, same thing. Turns out my charger was dying.. then died.

Maybe you've got charging issues..?

You don't have to pay. You submit your info and they mail you a pre-paid shipping box. I dodged the bullet on that recall for my Inspiron 6000....THIS time ;)

heh, well I'm also hoping that they make a shipping error and send me a 9 cell on accident. :twisted:
